Whats a Fitzpatrick Scale?

The Fitzpatrick Scale is a widely used method of identifying the amount of pigment in a person's skin and tolerance to sun exposure☀️

At Beleza By Jessica, I am able to treat all six skin tones, but in order to do this, I need to first determine where on the scale you are.

Once I have determined your skin type, I can then ensure the settings on the Venus Epileve are catered to you and your skin to ensure a safe and effective treatment in order to provide the best results after every session 🖤

Important side note: Regardless of your Fitzpatrick scale type be sure to wear your sunscreen everyday to protect yourself from the sun’s UV rays (even on those not so sunny days), this aids in preventing sun damage on your skin & premature aging!

In the first photo you can see that the client had stubborn course facial hair where the pores were visible to the naked eye.

With only just two treatments she noticed a reduction in facial hair growth, pores are less visible, the hair thinned out, and growing back at a much slower rate!

This client went from shaving daily to only having to worry about shaving a few times a month 🪒

Skin protection is so important during your laser hair removal treatments!

Sunscreen is a must when you are outside (even on gloomy days) and will be your best friend this summer☀️

I recommend SPF 50+ to all of my clients. The reason we recommend a high SPF sunscreen and avoiding the sun 7 days after is because your skin needs time to heal. Laser hair removal makes your skin more vulnerable to UV rays and prone to burning, hyperpigmentation or skin discolouration if you do not take the proper recommended aftercare.

That being said, no need to stress or worry you can still enjoy yourself this summer just be sure to follow the pre and post care provided, take care of your skin and your treatments will be a breeze 😍
