Just finished watching Satluj (Punjab 95) on ZEE5, and after finally seeing the film, the censorship and backlash ag*inst it make even less sense. The movie does not spread hate or attack a nation. What it questions is abuse of power, corruption, greed, and the dangerous consequences when accountability disappears.

This film is not propaganda. It is a mirror and not everyone is comfortable looking into it.

Punjab continues to suffer from drugs, corruption, violence and leadership failures that are destroying generations. Films like this matter because they force reflection instead of distraction and conversations instead of silence. You cannot heal a society by burying its history.

Whether people agree with every scene or not is irrelevant. Stories like these deserve to be told, watched, and discussed openly. Truth should never become something society is afraid of.
