Okay, let’s just get this out of the way: yes, my husband proposed to me at the Calgary Tower… and YES, it was magical. Picture this: gorgeous skyline views, the entire city twinkling beneath us, and a glowing heart-shaped light display that lit up the night right below us. Total movie moment.
But beyond the romance, the Calgary Tower is iconic. It’s a piece of the city’s soul. At one point, it was the tallest structure of its kind in the world. And during the 1988 Winter Olympics (yes, that’s the year), it lit up as a giant Olympic torch—how cool is that? So whether you’re into love stories, skyline selfies, or a little local history, this place has it all.
2. Crescent Heights 🌆– My go-to when I need to breathe, reflect, or show off the city to visitors. The downtown view from here is unreal in every season. Trust me, sunset hits different here.
3. Stanley Park 🏞️– A hidden summer gem. Big trees, peaceful river, perfect picnic spots, and a shallow area where kids can safely splash around. It’s where I see moms relaxing, kids playing, and everyone soaking up the simple joys.

As a proud mom, stepmom, and immigrant woman, I’ve learned that beauty, strength, and grace come from the stories we carry and the love we give. I’m here not just for the crown, but to show my daughter—and every young girl watching—that we are more than enough, just as we are.

I believe in lifting other women up, especially immigrant women who sometimes feel unseen. I want to show that it’s never too late to dream bigger, speak louder, and shine brighter. This is for the women balancing everything, the girls looking for a role model, and for all of us rewriting what it means to be powerful and proud.
