What they don’t always see are the hours spent practicing, testing, learning, and sometimes tattooing things that definitely weren’t part of the original grocery list. 😆

Whether it’s chicken skin, latex, paper, competitions, conferences, or continuing education, growth doesn’t happen by accident.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that experience matters, but staying curious matters too.

Not every laser result will heal predictably.

Sometimes pigment lifts beautifully.
Sometimes it shifts.
Sometimes it leaves warmth, shadowing, patchiness, or a soft background colour behind.

And yes, that in-between colour can be frustrating for clients.

But in this case, because the original work was done properly, the laser lifted the pigment evenly and created a softer canvas. For this client’s goals, it didn’t need to be completely gone. Think brow toning rather than full removal.

Once healed, we were able to add machine hair strokes back into the brow and work with what remained instead of fighting against it.

This is why realistic expectations matter with laser removal.

The end result is rarely a completely blank canvas.

Sometimes the goal is simply getting the brows light enough, soft enough, and clean enough to rebuild from there. 🤍

The days of over-saturating and overworking the skin in a single appointment are behind us, and for good reason.

For this client:
• The strokes will continue to cool as they heal.
• We will then darken and adjust the remaining warmth between the strokes at the second appointment.
