For the women ready to stop fighting the change and start honoring it.
This isn’t the end of your youth.
It’s the beginning of your sovereignty.
Welcome to the season of wisdom, self-trust, and becoming.
The best part of you is not behind you.
It’s just beginning to emerge.

We’ve been taught to chase hormone levels.
But hormones don’t exist in isolation.
They are
synthesized -> transported->
activated-> metabolized->
eliminated.
Two women can take the exact same hormones and have completely different experiences because biology processes them differently.
This is why we look beyond numbers and into hormone dynamics.
.health we consider the whole system: gut, liver, thyroid, adrenals, insulin, metabolism, detoxification, and elimination.
This is also where tools like the DUTCH test can be incredibly helpful.
The DUTCH gives us a deeper look beyond a single hormone level and can provide insight into:
✨ Hormone pathways + metabolism
✨ How estrogen is being broken down and cleared
✨ Cortisol production and daily rhythm patterns
✨ DHEA and adrenal output
✨ Organic acid markers that may give clues into gut function, neurotransmitters, oxidative stress, nutrient needs, and mitochondrial support
Because real healing happens when we understand how your body handles hormones—not just what the levels are.
Have you ever been told your labs were “normal” but still didn’t feel like yourself?

Honoured to present at the Ageing Well Expo )—representing .health —and to speak honestly about menopause.
Not just hot flashes…
But GSM (genitourinary syndrome of menopause)—a significant and often overlooked contributor to recurrent UTIs, increased risk of infection, and even preventable hospital visits in women as they age.
And testosterone—the hormone women are rarely offered, yet one that impacts cognition, motivation, and how we actually feel in our bodies.
We also shared how, through our sister company , we’re able to support clients more accessibly—with mobile lab draws, injections, ECGs, and online consults with ongoing support—bringing care directly to those who may find it difficult to navigate traditional systems.
We need to stop normalizing suffering in midlife.
Women deserve to feel informed, supported, and well.
If this is something you’re navigating, I’d be happy to connect.
Perimenopause doesn’t always feel like “hormones”…
Sometimes it feels like this.
Shaky.Unsettled.Wired but exhausted.Like you can’t quite find your footing.
On a recent retreat in Ecuador at the beautiful .center hosted by .ram and Francisco, we spent time focusing on our doshas through Ayurveda — understanding how our individual constitution shows up in the body, mind, and nervous system.
In this moment, I could feel my Vata.
Here I am in tree pose… and my tree was a little shaky 🌿My vata was high and the wind was strong
In Ayurveda, Vata is the energy of air and movement. And when it’s out of balance, it can look like:→ anxiety→ poor sleep→ brain fog→ feeling scattered or disconnected
Which… is exactly what so many women experience in perimenopause.
What shifted everything wasn’t trying harder.
It was grounding.
Slowing my breath.Connecting to my body.Letting myself stabilize before trying to hold it all together.
This is the work.
Not just replacing hormones…But regulating the nervous system.Supporting the body.Creating safety from within.
✨ From scattered → grounded✨ From overwhelmed → regulated✨ From disconnected → back in your body
This is the beginning of embodied sovereignty.

Heart Health Month got personal this year. 💓
My husband just had bypass surgery after >70% blockage… and my dad had heart disease too. So even if I look “fine,” I’m not treating my risk like it’s optional.
Here’s the part women don’t hear enough: heart disease + stroke are the #1 cause of premature death in women in Canada—yet so many of us still worry more about breast cancer.
Menopause matters in this conversation. As estrogen declines, many women see shifts in the exact drivers that raise cardiovascular risk: lipids, central adiposity/visceral fat, insulin resistance, and blood pressure.
In .health newsletter this month we highlighted the Schierbeck et al. randomized trial (recently postmenopausal women) showing that starting hormone therapy closer to menopause was associated with a lower risk of a combined outcome (death/MI/heart failure hospitalization)—supporting the “timing hypothesis.” (Translation: the early bird may get the healthier heart.)
HRT isn’t for everyone—but when appropriate and started at the right time, it can be part of an overall prevention plan.
What I’m doing to protect my heart -
• daily walks + strength training + hot yoga
• blood sugar stability (protein + fiber first)
• BP awareness + metabolic markers (not just cholesterol)
• sleep + stress regulation (non-negotiable)
• gut + “clearance” foundations (hydration, fiber)
This month I’m sharing prevention—because women deserve the truth before the scare.

22 years into my nursing career, I finally listened to the nudge.
For a long time, I lived in the OR—long hours, high intensity, life-saving work… but it was never the full picture of health. It was crisis. It was band-aids. It was survival.
And in the background, I kept carrying this quiet dream: A space where women feel understood. Where we talk about what we usually keep private.
Where we share the real secrets—emotional, hormonal, beauty, longevity—without judgment.
I’ve carried a vision for years: women supporting women… sharing what actually works… and healing in community.
And now it’s happening.
Not perfectly. Not overnight.
But it’s real—and it’s growing. Every day the gratitude grows 🙏✨

We all strive for longevity—how to live longer, feel stronger, stay sharp. But on my recent visit home, I had a moment that really made me reflect on what it actually looks like.
My grandniece just turned one. She’s wobbling through the world, learning how to balance, taking those first uncertain steps. And in the same breath, I watched my grandpa—who will turn 103 next month—working daily to maintain his balance. It was like life handing me a mirror—one just beginning, one still holding strong with myself right in the middle.
At 103, he still insists on working outside when he can—planting his corn, tending the homestead, walking his land. And when the weather keeps him in, you’ll find him riding his Airdyne bike.
I asked him, “Where do you find the motivation to keep moving like this?”
He gave me his classic glare and replied,
“Well... how else would I be able to do what I do?”
This, from a man who windsurfed into his late 80s and skied for the last time at 98.
The key to longevity? Movement. Muscle. And maybe a little farm-boy stubborness

📢 Signs Your Liver Needs Support📢
Feeling tired, having digestive issues, or experiencing skin breakouts? Your liver might be calling for help! 💚
Key Signals You Shouldn’t Ignore:
- Fatigue and Sluggishness: The liver plays a key role in metabolism and energy production. If it’s overloaded, you might feel constant fatigue.
- Digestive Problems: A healthy liver aids in proper digestion, and its overload can lead to nausea and other issues.
- Skin Problems: Your skin reflects your liver’s health. If the liver can’t handle toxins, it may result in breakouts and acne.
- Waking Up at Night: Frequently waking up between 2 and 4 AM can be linked to liver activity, which is most active at this time.
- Weight Issues and Cravings: Difficulty losing weight and frequent sugar cravings can be related to liver function issues.
How to Support Your Liver Health:
1. Natural Detox Foods: Include artichokes, beets, and turmeric in your diet. These foods support the liver’s detox functions.
2. Physical Activity: Regular exercise improves blood circulation, helping the liver function more effectively.
3. Avoid Alcohol and Toxins: Reduce alcohol consumption and avoid exposure to household chemicals that can burden your liver.
4. Gut Health: Probiotics and dietary fibers help maintain healthy gut flora, easing the liver’s workload.
5. Sleep and Rest: Quality sleep is vital for liver recovery. Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
🔍 Listen to your body and take care of your liver with love and attention. Making small lifestyle changes can significantly improve your well-being and overall health!
