Meet Carly. This beauty of a human is not only a Dirty Girl model and huge supporter, she is juggling a new career and trying to find the right balance between work and play. Here’s a few words from our Dirty Girl in the spotlight. 💕

I’m someone who feels most at home outside—whether I’m hiking, swimming, or exploring new trails with my dogs.

If I’m not out adventuring, you’ll probably find me at the gym, dirt biking, rollerblading, skiing, or taking care of my 50+ houseplants (yes… I’ve accepted the “plant lady” title 🌱).

I recently became a realtor, which has been a lifelong dream of mine. It’s something I’ve wanted since I was a kid, and it feels pretty special to finally be living it.

After a long day, I love slowing things down by reading my favourite book or taking a nice shower, something simple that helps me reset.

My go-to products are the Backcountry Scrub and Isla Body Oil. The scrub is perfect after a day outside, and the body oil leaves my skin feeling so good and relaxed. It’s honestly become one of my favourite little routines.

It’s true that 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯.

Sometimes the feelings of overwhelm and exhaustion are what we need to set us forward on a healthier and more content path.

Finding a few moments for yourself each day isn’t always easy. For some, it feels near impossible. We can’t always stop being busy, but we can learn to incorporate 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 moments through our day to avoid burnout.

1. Have a soak or shower. Hold your favourite soap in your hands and take a long inhale. Embrace the smell, the softness of the suds and rinse the stress away. Allow yourself a moment or two to breathe in peace and serenity and breathe out the heaviness of the day.

2. Light a beautiful candle, take in the soothing aromas of essential oils, hear the calming crackle of the wood wick. Read a page from your favourite book, listen to a short meditation or turn on music that uplifts you.

3. Take a short walk and move your energy. Notice your environment. The smell of the air, the colours of the leaves, trees or flowers, the sun or breeze on your face.

Small steps can equal big change. 🫶🏻
