If you've been following along since the beginning, you know The Beauty Bus has been a labour of love from day one. This week marks the start of another exciting chapter, and while I'm not quite ready to share all the details, I couldn't resist giving you a little sneak peek

🌱The Magic of Natural Henna 🌱

One of my favourite parts of offering henna is watching the transformation unfold.

Every design is completely freehand, meaning no stencils are used, each piece is uniquely created for the person wearing it.

Henna paste is handcrafted using organic henna leaves that have been dried, finely powdered, and mixed with fresh lemon juice and water. This creates a smooth, natural paste that gently stains the outermost layer of the skin.

✨ Here's what to expect:

• Your design is applied with fresh henna paste and left to dry.
• For the richest colour, leave the paste on for as long as possible (ideally 1-4 hours)
• Once the paste is removed, your stain will appear a light orange colour.
• Over the next 24–48 hours, it will naturally oxidize into the beautiful deep brown henna stain we all know and love.
• Depending on your skin, lifestyle, and aftercare, your henna can last anywhere from 5–14 days.

Henna is more than just body art, it's a beautiful tradition that has been celebrated across many cultures for centuries. I feel honoured to create wearable artwork that lets you express yourself while carrying on this timeless practice.

Sometimes it's hard to believe this was ever just an idea🤯

Back in 2019, when I completed my esthetics certification, I started dreaming about a different kind of spa experience.

One that could travel.
One that could reach people where they are and bring care directly to those who needed it!

At the time, I was navigating my own health challenges and becoming increasingly aware of how difficult it can be for some people to access self-care services.
I remember wishing something like The Beauty Bus existed

When I couldn't find it, I decided to build it.

What followed was a lot of dreaming, planning, learning, problem-solving, and more than a few moments where I questioned my sanity 😂

Watching these old videos reminds me just how far Bertha (and I) have come. Not only in how she looks, but in everything that happens behind the scenes. The systems, the services, the confidence, the lessons learned, and especially the incredible community that has grown around her✨️

Most importantly, it reminds me that none of this happened alone.

To every client who welcomed me into their home before the bus was even finished.
To every regular who continues to trust me with their care.

To every person who shared a post, left an encouraging comment, recommended me to a friend, or simply believed in this dream.
