💉 Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

This relatively common condition can be very distressing to people, as treatment options are limited. Topical preparations (drysol, etc) are often very ineffective. Botox is a VERY effective treatment for this condition.

Administration involves a cornstarch test, to mark the high sweat areas requiring injection. I apply betadine to the skin, then cornstarch, and within 10 minutes or less the affected area will turn black / brown.

A series of injections is then administered, essentially “turning off” the nerve signal to the sweat gland. Results are expected to last for 6+ months.

The first photo shows what is otherwise known as “jelly roll Botox”. This advanced technique involves pinpoint precision administration of small dosages of Botox under the eyes, to soften the under eye rolls.

This post is a little different from what I / most injectors usually post, but is WELL WORTH the read.

Most before and afters are shown comparing immediate results to immediately after / two weeks later. The before photos shown here are from June 2023, and the after photos are from June 2024.

This was done to showcase to you how advanced aesthetics medicine can be used to slowly and subtly achieve natural long lasting results. We made use of Botox treatments every 4 months, chin filler in August 2023, and lip filler in December 2023. Her last Botox treatment was in March 2024.

Despite not having had any treatment in three months, and filler treatment even longer before this, she still has stunning, long lasting results which will only get better with continued aesthetic maintenance.

WITHOUT any jawline, cheek, nasolabial fold or marionette line filler, we achieved a tapered neck, softened under eye / nasolabial fold / marionette line / neck bands, using advanced Botox techniques including the “Nefertiti neck lift” and mid / lower face Botox.

** This is why it’s so important to choose a provider not only trained in both Botox and filler administration, but someone who will tailor a treatment plan to suit your individual needs. Far too often I see clients who have spent thousands of dollars on filler treatment with terrible results. These are the types of red flags to look out for when choosing your injector…

There is so much wrong with this post below…

1). You can NEVER EVER be dissolved and refilled with any type of filler immediately after dissolving. Hyaluronidase will be effective for literal days after it’s been injected, meaning that it would start dissolving some of the newly placed filler if done at the same sitting.

Hence I ALWAYS recommend filling at least two weeks after dissolving, so as to avoid this.

2). The before lips (left) are portrayed as overfilled (which they are) and the after lips (right) are portrayed as not overfilled (which they are too)

The filler line in the right picture (after picture) clearly shows filler crossing the vermilion border. Within 2-3 months the lips on the right will look exactly the same as the lips on the left, which is why all these types of before and after photos are only ever shown at the 2 week mark. The reason for the inevitable filler migration is that as time passes, gravity takes effect and the lips settle…the lips will then “drop” to their natural position, and the filler will remain above the vermilion border.

This results in the “shelf/ledge” I see so incredibly often in ladies who have had lip filler done by someone not adequate trained in this field.

Moral of the story, choose your injector wisely and beware of the so called “Russian lips”. They will almost always result in these types of filler migration, as they have to have some filler placed above the vermilion border, or the lips simply will not be “lifted”
