A little late, but I just had to do an appreciation post for .earrings these 2 go above & beyond & this is exactly why I source out local female owned businesses for my salon whenever possible. They always come through when I need to grab my order on the fly & they hold themselves accountable & go above & beyond to rectify a simple mistake. Their jewellery stands up & is super comfy & non allergenic. So i just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful product, professionalism & kind hearts, you girls rock ❣️❣️❣️

January 7th, 2019.. a day that came about due to many years behind the chair. From the pounds of hair & bobby pins, thousands of bowls of colour, gallons of shampoo, clouds of hairspray, courses from around the world & last but not least, all of you beautiful souls who have sat in the many chairs I've stood behind over the years. I am so grateful & I'll never take for granted the incredible gifts this career has blessed me with. Thank you all & cheers to 7 years🥳🥂🎉❣️

After a hiatus last year due to a family matter, the Soiree is back & ready to rock your socks off! It's on a Saturday this year for the 1st time ever. There will be the infamous Spin to Win, door prizes, snacks, bevies & deals throughout the salon. Any tampon or food bank donation gets you an extra entry for the door prizes!!

WHO IS GOING TO BE THERE??

As I reflect on this past year, I'm ever so grateful for all of you who have been a part of my life. I hope you all get the opportunity to spend this weekend with those you hold near & dear to your heart 🍂🦃🍁❣️

On this 1st Father's day without my Dad, i would like to take the opportunity to honour him❣️
My Dad was my 1st love, he was strong, smart, funny, resourceful, loyal, loving & caring. He built my 1st *salon* in their basement, wired in my station & got it secured to the wall, made sure everything was perfect for me. It was going well until...
I accidentally dropped my 1st expensive pair of scissors in the driveway one time & he unknowingly ran them over with his 4×4 truck. In hindsight perhaps he had created my 1st pair of curved shears for curly hair?! Haha But he heated them up with the blow torch & tried to get them straight again!
When I opened my 1st *real* salon Ahead of the Game I broke my collarbone at a curling funspiel & had orders coming in so he gave me a loan to cover it, even though I didn't ask for it, he made sure I was going to be ok.
When I had my grand opening for my siblings surprised me & brought him up for it. The joy I felt having my Dad see my space in that moment is indescribable, all of my time behind the chair to create this little salon was worth it to see the pride in his face.
So on this, my 1st Father's day without him, it is comforting to reflect & to remind myself, how lucky i was to have him help & guide me in all of my endeavours, but especially for how he helped me in my career. From cutting a million foils for me & allowing me to use their kitchen to do hair, to standing by me through multiple injuries & locations, his love, support & spirit will be forever embedded in my heart & soul.
Until we meet again Dad, thank you & I love you xo
