Humble Beginnings - A History of Alfred's Hair

In our first issue, we’ll be taking a walk down memory lane as we reflect on the grass roots of how Alfred’s Hair came to be (no pun intended).

Our first location in Edmonton was downtown in the old Royal Bank building on 101st street and Jasper Avenue. It wasn’t that long after that we sold that business and moved to a place in the west end in 1976. After enjoying 19 years of business at this location, we where approached by the PAI Medical Group, the largest and most innovative hair transplant management corporations in North America, to open a hair transplant clinic in Edmonton. As a result, we made our move to the West Grove Building on 103rd avenue, and opened as the first PAI Hair Transplant Clinic in Western Canada.

Over the years, we’ve made it a point to stay on top of industry developments. Alfred continues to attend hair loss seminars pertaining to the cause of hair loss, hair loss reduction via diet changes, hair analysis performance, and hair growth improvement. Also, with Alfred’s experience on the EFT factory research and development team, we’ve even developed our own product line of hair replacement products that have met the need for a longer lasting, more natural looking hair style. Glen, one of our consultants, is also recognized as one of the best in the industry because of his hair transplant experience. His extensive knowledge makes it easy for our clients to understand and decide which hair transplant procedure is right for them.

Here at Alfred’s, we like to help people with their hair loss problems. Whether it be a result of an inherited hair loss gene, medical problem, response to chemo treatments, diffusive hair loss, or Alopecia, the reward from visiting us is leaving with a smile of confidence.
