Appreciating my roots is always something that's been very important to me. For many years now, I've been supporting my drama teacher from Junior High, by coming in and offering workshops or doing presentations to help her students learn more about makeup. Just this weekend I was in helping the learn how to apply a latex bald cap for their upcoming production of

I first experimented with makeup in my theatre classes in junior high and high school, so getting a chance to go back and inspire others who are interested, just like I was, is truly a pleasure!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share a big announcement.

When I started my little makeup business I had always planned on doing it alone, however, I have recently started a new business venture that I am beyond excited to share.

I have teamed up with my good friend and mentor, Cate Carmichael to take our new joint business to the next level. Together, we are Co-Owners of Chambers FX the newest Edmonton based makeup FX shop, here to serve the Alberta film industry. My little startup ChambersFX and Beauty, will no longer use this title. The name Chambers FX was always the name I wanted to use long-term and now with a partner, I can confidently say FX is our focus, and things are gonna be crazy!

My page Makeup FX by Rae will remain, but the majority of my work will now be showcased under the Chambers FX banner, and I would love for you to continue to be part of my journey. Please follow to stay up to day on our latest projects (we got some pretty big ones coming down the pipe, so I can guarantee we won't disappoint).
