Brief story on why I decided to go natural below 👇🏾
After finding out I was having a baby girl back in 2010 the thought of transitioning my hair back to my natural texture started to surface in my mind.
I wasn’t sure on what to expect, but I know for certain I wasn’t ready for the big chop, so transitioning my relaxed hair was the decision I finally made in 2012.
It was a struggle, close friends weren’t supportive but it was something I wanted to do for myself and my daughter, so I had to block out the opinions of others, and trust my gut feeling 😊 It was the beginning of me embracing myself ❤️
I had a feeling within that if I had kept my relaxed hair, I would have to explain to Sundaí why my hair was straight and hers was curly.
I also wanted Sundaí to grow up loving all of her and know that she didn’t had to change anything about herself just to fit in, she was unique and meant to stand out but also know that she has the freedom to switch it up if she every wanted to, with braids, blowouts, extensions etc.
There’s a lot more to this story and I will speak more as time goes on, as I’ve been transitioning from behind the chair into teaching and i have made some changes.
My passion have always been educating others on the importance of taking care of their natural hair.
Yes I specialize in extensions and hair crowns but all my guest can tell you, how my #1 focus has always been taking care of their natural hair and getting it healthy.
Ps. My hair is natural and I love it, but I do switch it up sometimes. Unfortunately this photo was my last professional headshot I took back in 2018 haha it’s time for some new headshots 😉📸
I’m looking forward to being active on this page again, as I’ve recently downsize my business and I’m focusing more on teaching finally 💎

Despite everything that has happened, my 2020 vision is still alive 🙏🏾 I have always been a fighter and I’m not afraid to fail. Failure isn’t permanent, it just means to get up learn from the mistakes and go again 💯
I’m definitely stronger, I know it’s been awhile since my last post which was suppose to be a come back from 21 days of pray and fasting
I was finally rebuilding and creating my brand which showcases my journey but after having my miscarriage the beginning of March, I needed an escape because I didn’t want to fall back into a depression and all the work I did in 2019 to love myself be for nothing, so a huge thanks to my amazing guest who I’m happy to call a friend .williams0524 for helping me to realize it’s okay to take time for me and not feel guilty 💕
I got on the next flight home to Barbados to be with family, which was amazing. It made the healing process a little easier, and I’m thankful for everything I had to go through in this journey call life so far, because it has helped me to become the woman I am today.
It was me standing in my way, I realize we all have a story, but we all also have a choice.
I choose to be the solution, not an excuse maker!
I am a survivor, not a victim, I had to be grateful for all I had accomplished despite the challenges.
Often we get so caught up, we don’t enjoy our achievements.
Life is about spreading love, being kind, being thankful, grateful, helping others and staying positive.
We have to remember there’s more than enough in this world for all of us, we need to stop competing against each other and let’s build a community.
My vision has always been to create Myx Beauty Community and it happen, some people move on,some people are still here but regardless it’s all love despite what might be said or thought 💕
When was created it was to bring a Myxture of talents together as one, uplifting and inspiring others, teaching self love and self confidence and now we are working on MYX BEAUTY ADVANCED ACADEMY ❤

This is my third baby, is my second and Sundaí is my first, just in case you were wondering 😉
God have gifted me with two talented hands to create transformations like the one above ☝🏾
I’ve been battling in my career at what my true purpose is, how can I make a difference? After coming off my 21 days of pray and fasting, my vision became clearer 🙏🏾
I was lead to focus on my TLC brand, listening to how I have helped some of these amazing women life’s transformed over the past weeks, just tug at my heart❤️ and made me realize this is my current purpose!
How is it that everyone can see how wonderful I am, but Me? Why am I so hard on myself?
Those were a few of the questions I asked myself, until I realized it was fear all along! Fear can hinder you from success, but I will not allow this anymore, I will shine bright like the diamond I am and walk in faith 🙌🏾.
