Dear Beloved Clients,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with mixed emotions that I share some important news: as of the end of January, I will be closing my shop for hair care services. After nearly a decade of caring for your beautiful crowns, it’s time for me to transition into a new chapter, and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for trusting me with your hair and allowing me to be a part of your natural hair journey.

Serving you over the years has been an honor, and while I’ll no longer be providing hair care services, Afrodisiac will continue to be here for you. Our products will remain available to support your natural hair journey, and I’ll be offering classes and one-on-one lessons to empower you to care for your hair at home.

To help you take your hair care into your own hands, we’ll be selling tabletop steamers paired with detox products so you can enjoy a salon-quality experience at home. Additionally, I’m thrilled to announce our Retwist Class scheduled for December 29th. This hands-on class will teach you professional techniques to maintain your locs at home, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to continue nurturing your hair with confidence. The cost for this session is $300, and spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot early.

Though this chapter is closing, the space itself will remain alive with activity. Afrodisiac will host more events in the future, and the space is available for private rentals. If you’re interested in hosting your own event here, don’t hesitate to reach out for booking details.

I want to thank each and every one of you for the love, support, and trust you’ve given me over these years. You’ve allowed me to grow not only as a professional but also as a person, and I will always treasure the connections we’ve built. Let Your Hair Down is a unique event celebrating the beauty of unbraiding your hair at any stage. Participants will have their hair unbraided and receive a thoughtful care package, including whipped shea butter cream and peppermint, clove, and rosemary hair oils. Each package also contains a personalized self-care poem. The day is set against the backdrop of soothing music with a relaxing picnic in the park, offering a perfect way to unwind and enjoy the final days of summer. Tickets are $20 per participant.
