A note from Angela 🤍
About 9 years ago I started this business with a set of lashes on a very brave friend, in my living room, and a lot of hope.
There was a lot of figuring it out on the fly, and I am still learning. Moves, renos, shut downs, team building, and then most recent - A new name. But what I know now: every up and down was worth it.
Okanagan Beauty Bar is one year old in this space. And almost 9 years old in my heart.
Thank you for being part of it. For real. 🤍

❌️Wear eye makeup
Mascara, liner, or shadow = extra prep time + poorer retention.
❌️Drink caffeine right before
Shaky eyes = slower application (yes, this one surprises people ☕).
❌️Pick or pull at your lashes beforehand
Damaged natural lashes = limited options for your set.
❌️Forget to tell your artist about sensitivities or changes
New meds, hormones, or eye issues matter more than people think.
❌️Arrive late
We can’t “rush” lashes — quality always comes first.
❌️Plan workouts, steam, or showers right after
Adhesive needs time to fully cure.

Lash Rehab....its a real thing.
Do lash extensions cause damage to natural lashes? Well they sure can! As seen here.
But they shouldn't. Poor application, wrong lengths and diameters selected, no education on aftercare resulting in no aftercare = damage 100% of the time.
When applied correctly by someone who puts your lash health first, your natural lashes will thrive. Often be healthier than before you started getting them done.

Permanent jewelry can be safely removed at home if needed — and yes, we can absolutely reapply it for you 🤍
If you ever need to take yours off (travel, medical appointments, swelling, work, etc.), here’s how:
• Locate the jump ring (the tiny connecting ring)
• Use nail clippers or small scissors
• Gently snip the jump ring — not the chain itself
• Keep your chain safe and bring it back to us
We’ll reconnect it so you can keep loving your piece without replacing it.
