It’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later 🩷
Still though, I was on an emotional roller coaster writing this
I know so so many clients are asking where the heck to get their lashes done and when I’ll be done working before baby girl comes
So! August 1st I am planning as my last day, that could change !!! But let’s plan for that for now
And as promised I will not be leaving you lovely lash ladies hanging for where to get lovely lashes 2.0
Lash artists, since I have clients scattered all over the Okanagan I’m looking for some fellow lashers that best fit my lovely clients needs and locations!
If you’re accepting new clients, please let me know! I’ll need to refer my girlies somewhere, and I hope that can be you!
If I like what I see, I’ll be adding you to a new highlight on my page (titled referrals and will be made once I can get a list of referrals I like!)
Thank you to everyone supporting me in this next chapter in my life, as excited as I am for it, I’m also in shambles leaving all my lash babes, some of which have been with me for the past 8 years 😭🩷
I love you guys big time 🤍
And I’ll see you soon

LASHING IS NOT FOR THE WEAK 🤍
But damn is it worth it
Girly. Practice makes improvement. Not perfection. There is always room for improvement in the lash world.
When I first started I spent every single night making fans and sticking them to my hand while watching tv. I told myself I was good for the night when I made 9/10 perfect fans in a row 🤷🏼♀️ determined
Starting any business takes so much time. It’s not going to happen the first week, or month or maybe even year.
When I first started I had 1-2 jobs while doing lashes whenever I had a free minute for the first 3 years of my lash career, determined.
Most people understand they get what they pay for, that’s why in the beginning new lash artists charge the bare minimum if not free lashes. A slow increase as your skills increase, and again could take up to a year to be charging ‘full prices’.
I did my first 10 clients for free, then charged $20 for a new set for the next 10 and slowly increased from there. Granted that was also 8 years ago 🙊
Lashing. Is. Not. A. Get. Rich. Quick. Scheme.
With love .beauty 🩷

It’s me, Dani 🩷
Master lash artist and Educator and I am so happy you’re here
I started doing lash extensions 7 years ago, I was in school full time to become a teacher and just hated it, I was working 2 jobs and doing school full time. I took the lash course to give myself more freedom while in college and to work around my own schedule
I ended up falling in love with the industry and decided to not go back to school but instead pursue lashing as a full time career and haven’t looked back since!
The freedom it’s given me is unmatched. And I know it could do the same for you! Starting this career wasn’t easy but holy moly was it the best thing I’ve ever done! I wanted to start teaching lashes so people could have that same freedom. So! If you’re done with your boring 9-5 and want to do something that’s exciting and fulfilling, let’s chat!
I also just wanted to say hello and let you all know what I’ve been up to!
It’s been a crazy 6 months into 2024 but one of the best years yet!
I’m finally beginning to teach lash extensions and I couldn’t be more excited!! I wanted to come here and reintroduce myself not only as the lash artist you all know and love but now as an educator also!
I am so excited to share my 7 years of knowledge, trial and errors and expertise in this industry! I fell in love with lashes the moment I started doing them and haven’t looked back!
I also just want to thank all my amazing clients for their continued support and love over the years and just let y’all know I am SO THANKFUL for you all 🩷
Can’t wait to see what the next 6 months has in store!

Lash retention is not only on your lash artist, I believe it’s a 50/50! Taking care of your lashes is just as important as going to a skilled lash tech! 🩷
If you pick your lashes, you’ll get gaps and could ruin your own lashes!
Same with lash curlers, these are 🙅🏼♀️ they will rip out your extensions, just as they rip out your natural lashes and can break them right in half
Washing your lashes daily will help so much with retention! Natural oils, dirt, makeup are all retention killers, clean lashes are happy lashes
First off, mascara will make them look spidery, and it’s so hard to get off extensions! Once it’s on, your lashes won’t fluff out like they did before until you get them filled
You loose 2-5 natural lashes a day, this is why you need to book fills!
Brushing your lashes will keep them looking full and fluffy, especially after you wash them and they dry, give them a good brush to fluff them out again
Oily products will break the bond of the adhesive, this will cause the lashes to fall off over time. Oily products are a big retention killer!
Take care of those lashies besties 🩷

What is something your lash artist does that keeps you coming back!?
Retention is a HUGE part of lash extensions. It can honestly be a make or break.
Taking lash retention courses are GREAT! But what’s even better is taking a lash course right off the bat that dives deep into the necessary components of being a great lash artist!
This is why my course will be so in depth that you’ll walk out feeling ready and satisfied to conquer anything thrown at you in your new journey of being a lash artist!
To everyone who reached out to me about my course, I will be messaging you by *hopefully* the end of the week to talk more about my upcoming course and to *hopefully* start sign ups!!!! YAY! So keep an eye on your dms 😘
This has been SUCH a long time coming, but such a seriously LONG journey for me, creating your own course is NO JOKE, but will be so worth it for all my students in the long run. I just want you to be as successful as you can possibly be in this new crazy journey into the lash world, so I’d rather take a little longer and have it perfected then have you coming in for some half-ass bu****it course
Thank you so much to everyone who’s been so patient with me throughout this rollercoaster and I CANNOT wait to share my years of knowledge with you gorgeous gals 🩷

✨ Retention ✨
Swipe to see the after 🤤 What do you struggle with the most while lashing ?? Retention? Isolation? The wrap? Correct placement? Nano-misting? Humidity?
Let me know in the comments! We love to see good retention 🩷
My top 5 favourite ways to have good retention are:
1. ISOLATION. Period.
2. Clean lashes. You can’t glue an extension onto a dirty lash, the adhesive is going to stick to only the dirt/left over makeup/oils and will slide right off 🤷🏼♀️
3. Proper placement. You can places extensions on the top, bottom, or even side of natural lashes, but too close or too far away from the base of the lash is a no-no as well as placing the lash at an angle, even if the natural lash is crooked you will place the extension straight up and down
4. Nano-misting. I know this is controversial and you either love it or hate it. I personally love it. I think it helps with not only fumes but retention also, but make sure not to mist too much or leave water droplets behind. This will cause shock polymerization, which looks like white residue on the lashes due to the glue drying exceptionally fast. When used correctly it can be a life saver!
5. Proper humidity. This one’s tricky because many people will say it doesn’t matter, but it does. Your glue literally has a humidity scale on it for what humidity it will work best in, if it doesn’t, get new glue 🩷
