Just a little bit of information for when you come in for your colour appointment 💕💕

• I want to know what you love and what you don’t love! Most of the time, you and your hairdresser aren’t picturing the exact same tone. You might say “warm,” but actually mean more natural tones. Inspiration photos are the easiest way for me to truly understand what you’re looking for.

• Using heavy oils or masks right before your colour appointment can create a barrier on the hair strand, which may cause the colour to turn out uneven or fade faster. Skipping these before your appointment helps ensure you leave with the colour you want.

• Please avoid dry shampoo or root touch up sprays on the day of your appointment. Just like heavy oils, they can stop the colour from properly saturating the hair and sometimes prevent it from sticking at all.

• Knowing exactly what you’ve put on your hair over the last 3–5 years is super helpful! I’ll usually ask things like: Was it at home colour or professional? When was the last time you were blonde? Was it semi, demi, or permanent? When did you last colour it? Etc.

• Clean, dry hair is important! Showing up with wet hair will add extra time to your appointment because we’ll need to blow dry it first. “Clean” means free of all products (not necessarily freshly washed).
