Looking back at where I began compared to where I am today at The Greenroom is incredibly humbling. Every single stage of this journey was necessary.

• I had to start in a tiny, quiet room to learn how to build a business from scratch.
• I had to master the basic brow mapping before I could confidently craft custom brows for hundreds of different faces.
• I had to invest hours into intense academy training to build the foundation for the standards I hold today.

Let’s break down the shape, colour and style of these brows

Shape
•Your brows should be a frame, not a distraction. I map your shape based on your unique facial features and eye shape.
By creating a more defined arch and extending the tail slightly, I’ve opened up her entire eye area. In the “before” photo, the natural brow was sparse and didn’t provide much structure. The “after” creates a beautiful frame that draws the eye upward.

Colour
•We don’t just pick a generic brown. I analyze your skin’s natural undertones to custom-blend a pigment that stays true over time.
For this client, we selected a shade that adds sophisticated depth, perfectly complementing her silver hair while keeping the look soft and natural.
The brows will fade 30%-40% once fully healed.

Style
•for this client, I opted for a powder brow & here’s why. There was a slight red hues remaining from old mircoblading.
Her natural brow hairs were fairly sparse & sometimes this can cause faux hair-like strokes to not look as realistic. This happens when there isn’t enough natural hair to anchor and blend seamlessly.
On mature skin, a soft shading technique is the way to go. It creates a seamless, “filled-in” look that heals predictably and ages beautifully without the risk of being too harsh.

This might be a hot take but I’m going to say it anyways

In my very strong opinion, microblading is a service that I don’t think should be taught or offered anymore.

Permanent makeup techniques have come such a long way and to be very honest… Microblading is so outdated. It’s a very invasive procedure only suited for a small % of the population with very inconsistent healed results.

Nano is the newer age alternative to microblading. It has more consistent healed results person to person and is substantially less painful and less invasive.
