May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month — a timely reminder that early detection matters.
Monthly self skin checks at home are an important part of skin health. Take a few minutes each month to perform a head-to-toe self skin examination. Look for new spots, changing moles, lesions that don’t heal, or anything that stands out as different from the rest.
Pair that with a professional full-body skin check yearly, or sooner if you notice a concerning change. Regular surveillance can help detect Melanoma and other skin cancers earlier, when treatment is often simpler and outcomes are better.
