We get this question a lot & we wanted to help clarify!

Tipping has always been appreciated but not expected at The Hair Collective. Though you will see some of our stylists have completely opted out of accepting tips, some of us believe if our prices are set appropriately we do not need to rely on tips.

As our business grows and pivots we do want to be mindful of the new stylists entering the salon, we have recently hired a new apprentice and as she is building her clientele we do not want to take income away from her. So going forward, all junior and apprentice stylists will still have a tip option! It is completely voluntary by you, our clients & guests if you wish to tip!

As for most of our self employed stylists they are gratuity free but love your support. A few ways you can support our salon is by referring your friends and family, sharing our posts or sending a like or comment!

2023 has been a crazy year for most! I’ve noticed myself changing a lot this year. Growing as a person, a business owner, a hairstylist & a friend. Reflecting on this year I am just so extremely grateful for all of my clients and every soul that has come into
We appreciate your support & energy in our space more then you can imagine!

I can’t wait to see what is in store for everyone in 2024, we are entering our third year at 474 St James St & I am just so proud and honoured to own such a beautiful space!
