💌 LIFE UPDATE 💌

I’ve been quiet over here for the past few months because of some big life changes 🤭

The first one being that my family will be moving to a new home! 🎉 I’m excited to have a designated space for the beauty studio. I will still be located in Richmond Hill at Yonge & Major Mackenzie.

The second being that I’m expecting baby # 2 in August! 👶🏻 I will not be taking lash extension appointments until further notice, but will continue taking on a limited number of lash lift appointments for now.

This upcoming maternity break will be time dedicated to my family and also for me to streamline this little biz. I will be using the downtime to maintain my skills, bring on a new service 👀, and continue advancing my education in the industry.

✨7 lessons I’ve learned so far running my lash biz✨

1. You need to dream big
Envisioning what this current part time lash biz could be in a few years time motivates me to do what I need to continue making it grow.

2. Consistency is key
Practice makes perfect, and it applies to the skill and techniques behind lashing.

3. There will be high and low seasons
High seasons are amazing for the clients and revenue, but low seasons are just as valuable. It is time that can be used towards needed rest, business evaluation, and continuing education!

4. Find a supportive community in your niche
It has been so helpful and encouraging to meet other lash artists and support one another in our endeavours. I’ve gained new insight seeing their work and talking to them.

5. Don’t compare to others, you are your own
Everyone’s progress and journey is different, and for me I know I need to take my time to see the progress.

6. Your desired results take time
I wish I can become an expert overnight! Looking in retrospect is great to help you see what you’ve achieved over time.

7. Don’t give up when the going gets tough
Taking on anything new is not easy, and there will be times when you feel like you just want to quit. Don’t give up and keep working on your craft! You will see the improvement and work come through in time.
