“Faja burns” and “lipo burns” are some of the most commonly used terms after plastic surgery… but medically, most of these injuries are NOT actual burns. ⚠️
In many cases, they are ischemic lesions caused by:
• Excessive compression
• Impaired blood flow
• Friction and pressure
• Tissue hypoxia after surgery
After procedures like liposuction or tummy tuck surgery, the skin and microcirculation are already vulnerable. When too much pressure is added from tight compression garments, foam boards, folds, or aggressive compression, the tissue may lose oxygen supply and begin to break down.
🔬 TECHNOLOGY BURNS:
Usually caused by excessive heat from RF, laser, ultrasound, plasma or cautery devices.
• More localized
• Red/pink early on
• Well-defined borders
• Blisters appear faster
🩸 ISCHEMIC “FAJA BURNS”:
Actually pressure-related vascular injuries.
• Purple, pale or mottled appearance
• Irregular shape
• Often follows garment lines or folds
• Can worsen over 24–72h even after removing compression
⚠️ Early signs matter:
• Persistent redness
• Purple discoloration
• Blisters
• Severe pain or numbness
• Skin that feels cold, tight or darkening
Early detection and proper postoperative monitoring are essential to help prevent necrosis, delayed healing and long-term scarring.
Education saves tissue. đź–¤

Did you know fibrosis comes in different shapes? ✨
Fibrosis is part of the body’s natural healing response after surgery. It forms when collagen production becomes excessive or disorganized during tissue repair, creating hardened, thickened, or adhered areas beneath the skin.
Not all fibrosis looks or feels the same — and understanding the type of fibrosis is essential for proper management and recovery.
▫️ Cord-like fibrosis
Tight, rope-like bands that can create pulling sensations and restriction in movement.
▫️ Plaque-like fibrosis
Dense, flat areas of hardened tissue that may feel thick, adhered, or uneven under the skin.
▫️ Nodular fibrosis
Small, localized nodules that can feel firm or tender to the touch.
▫️ Mixed fibrosis
A combination of cord-like, plaque-like, and nodular fibrosis occurring simultaneously. This type is often more complex, involving adhesions, tissue irregularities, restricted mobility, and uneven healing patterns.
Each type of fibrosis takes a different approach. The wrong technique, excessive pressure, or poorly timed interventions can sometimes worsen inflammation, tissue adhesion, and scar formation.
That’s why working with a skilled and knowledgeable therapist is so important. Proper assessment, tissue understanding, and individualized care can make a significant difference in healing outcomes, comfort, and long-term results. ✨

Your scar is not “just healing.”
It’s rebuilding itself — phase by phase. ✨
After plastic surgery, the body enters a highly coordinated healing process involving inflammation, collagen production, tissue remodeling, and lymphatic activity. Understanding these stages helps set realistic expectations for recovery and results.
▫️ Inflammatory Phase (Day 1–4)
Swelling, redness, warmth, and tenderness are normal. Your immune system increases blood flow and begins cleaning damaged tissue while the lymphatic system works to remove excess fluid and inflammatory waste.
▫️ Proliferative Phase (Up to 3 Weeks)
The body begins producing new collagen and blood vessels to repair tissue. The scar may appear pink, raised, or firm as new connective tissue forms.
▫️ Maturation Phase (Up to 12 Months)
Collagen fibers reorganize and strengthen over time. The scar gradually becomes flatter, softer, and lighter as tissue remodeling continues beneath the skin.
Recovery is not only about time — it’s about supporting the body’s healing environment through proper post-op care, circulation, lymphatic support, hydration, nutrition, and compression when indicated.
Healing takes patience.
Biology cannot be rushed. 🤍

Your gut and lymphatic system work as one powerful detox + defense team. ✨
Nearly 70% of the immune system lives in the gut, while the lymphatic system helps transport fats, remove waste, regulate inflammation, and support immune surveillance. When lymph flow becomes sluggish, digestion, bloating, water retention, inflammation, and recovery can all be affected.
Supporting lymphatic circulation may help:
• Reduce bloating & fluid retention
• Support digestion & nutrient absorption
• Enhance detoxification pathways
• Improve post-op & tissue recovery
• Regulate inflammation
• Strengthen immune function
Healthy lymph flow = a healthier gut environment. 🌿
🇫🇷

Your lymphatic system and immune system are deeply connected — they function as one coordinated defense and recovery network. 🧬✨
The lymphatic system doesn’t just move fluid.
It also transports white blood cells, immune proteins, and inflammatory signals throughout the body.
As lymph fluid travels through lymph nodes, the immune system constantly “screens” for:
🦠Viruses
🧫 Bacteria
⚠️ Cellular waste & abnormal cells
Inside the lymph nodes, immune cells are activated to help identify and respond to potential threats. This process is essential for:
✔️ Immune surveillance
✔️ Inflammation regulation
✔️ Tissue healing
✔️ Fluid balance
✔️ Recovery after stress, illness, workouts, or surgery
When lymphatic circulation slows down, waste products and excess fluid can accumulate, and immune communication becomes less efficient. This may contribute to:
• Puffiness & swelling
• Increased inflammation
• Heaviness or fatigue
• Slower recovery
Healthy lymphatic flow helps immune cells circulate efficiently so the body can better protect, regulate, and repair itself.
That’s why lymphatic-focused care is about more than aesthetics — it supports important physiological functions tied to immunity and recovery. ✨
At Sculpt Bar, we support the body’s natural lymphatic flow to promote circulation, recovery, and overall wellness from the inside out.

⚠️ This is where healing stops… and infection begins
Not every post-op symptom is “normal.”
And waiting too long? That’s where complications start.
Your body should be improving day by day ; not getting worse.
đźš© Watch for these red flags:
• Increasing redness
• Pain that gets worse (not better)
• Warmth to the touch
• Yellow or foul-smelling discharge
• Delayed healing or opening
• Unpleasant odor
• Rapid changes in the wound
If you notice ANY of these… don’t ignore it.
✨ Early action = faster recovery, better results, less risk.
At Sculpt Bar, we don’t just focus on results —
we protect your healing every step of the way.
Your recovery is just as important as your surgery.
📩 DM us if you’re unsure about your healing , we’re here to guide you.

⚠️ If you feel like your recovery is going wrong… read this.
No one talks about this part of surgery…
Not the swelling.
Not the stiffness.
Not the emotional crash.
Not the moment you think… “Did I make a mistake?”
But these phases?
They’re not random. They’re biological.
After surgery, your body moves through:
• Inflammation (fluid + swelling)
• Nerve regeneration (itching, sensitivity)
• Collagen remodeling (stiffness, fibrosis)
• Lymphatic fluctuations (morning vs night changes)
👉 What you’re feeling is part of the process!
But here’s the difference:
Healing can either be supported… or delayed.
Without proper guidance,
swelling lingers, fibrosis builds, results take longer.
With the right care?
Recovery becomes faster, smoother, and more predictable.
Healing takes weeks to months.
But you don’t have to go through it blindly.
We guide you through every phase, strategically.

Your body doesn’t heal overnight… it heals in phases.
And what you see week by week?
Completely normal 👇
✨ Week 1: swelling, bruising, inflammation
✨ Week 2–3: fluid retention + stiffness
✨ Week 4–6: tissue starts to firm (hello fibrosis)
✨ Month 3+: smoother, more refined results
Final Result : 6-12 months
This is where most people panic…
because healing doesn’t always look “better” right away.
But here’s the truth:
Your final results depend on how well you support each phase.
The right post-op care can make the difference between
👉 prolonged swelling & fibrosis
👉 OR smooth, optimized healing
Trust the process, but guide it.
Save this so you know what to expect at every stage 🤍

Not all scars heal the same!
After body surgery, healing follows phases
(inflammation → proliferation → remodeling).
How collagen is produced and reorganized determines how your scar looks.
✨ Keloid / hypertrophic: excess collagen
✨ Atrophic: loss of tissue
✨ Contracture: tightening of skin
✨ Hypo / hyperpigmented: changes in melanin
✨ Maturing scars: ongoing remodeling
In early healing, controlled scar mobilization can support better outcomes by improving collagen alignment, reducing adhesions, and enhancing circulation.
Your healing isn’t linear, but it is progressing 🤍
