Greater strength, muscle mass, and bone mineral density are all associated with reductions in all-cause mortality.
Lift weights to live longer.
Now, just because your heart rate increases when you lift weights does NOT mean you're getting the same cardiovascular benefits as sustained, longer duration cardio exercise.
Weight lifting is important and great for you. But it is not cardio.
Do both to live even longer πππͺππ
