But In the past few years I have GROWN and EVOLVED so much, and it’s become so clear to me that it’s time for my online presence to reflect more of the full picture of who I am.
So you’ll also be seeing much more of my personal journey with mental health challenges here on my feed - from burnout and panic attacks to wellness, the practices I’ve developed that have brought me to where I am now, and the passion I have to share it all with you - my community! ✨

The power of a transformation...
Have you ever experienced something transformative that changed the way you saw yourself?
Maybe it’s a meaningful conversation with a friend. Or someone who helps you see something beautiful that you couldn’t see in yourself.
This week I had the honor of creating a powerful transformation for LIsa. Her mother is my long-time client, and this was Lisa’s first ever hair coloration! It was a big deal, she really wanted it to look natural, and was so excited as she patiently waited for the big reveal after hours of work (she has a lot of hair!!).
Not only was Lisa absolutely thrilled her new color and haircut, but her mother was moved to tears to see her daughter so happy and her confidence shining through (be sure to watch the last slide! 🥹🥹🥹)
Some would say “it’s just hair”...but from years of experience I can say... it’s so much more than just hair! 🤎

What does it mean to have elevated hair?
My client hadn’t been to see me in quite a long time, and after the heat and sun exposure of summer, her color felt faded and tired. NOT the vibe she wanted to feel!
She is a busy professional with a great sense of style, and she told me the vibe she wants to feel this fall is elevated, luxurious, chic. But what did that mean to HER?
For her, this meant:
Darker, richer, healthier looking color
Less volume in her cut, focusing on longer layers
Fringe to really change up her look and add a fun, retro vibe.
To achieve this, I did my Glow Up service with a Transformational Haircut. The color is focused around the face on the on the top of the head, and the haircut creates a whole new look.
I added darker pieces throughout the length of hair to add richness to her color, as well as a few highlights to break up the solid dark area near the roots. An all over gloss to enhance that rich, luxurious, tone-on-tone brunette.
For her cut, I removed the damaged ends, while maintaining as much length as we could. Then I removed volume using my signature dry-cutting techniques, and created the perfect fringe for her face shape and the vibe she was aiming for.
THE RESULT = Luxurious brunette with a retro vibe....and a very happy client!

My tricks for controlling frizz!
Do you have wavy hair and wish you could let your hair air dry, but it always looks too frizzy and not quite wavy enough?
I’m going to share my easy tricks for controlling the frizz and defining those waves that sometimes just need a little help! 🤍
✨The right PRODUCT is key!! Start by hydrating the hair after towel drying with a leave-in product like Pureology 21 Benefits or a curl cream if your hair is curlier. SCRUNCH, SCRUNCH, & SCRUNCH again!
✨After the hair is dry, Use a sea salt spray like L’Oréal TechniArt Beach Waves Spray to add some hold and hydration to your waves.
✨TWIST then SCRUNCH to define the waves and reduce the frizz.
✨SPRAY again to set the shape, adding lift and volume where needed, or scrunch to reduce volume where you don’t want it.
Have fun with it! I challenge you to try it and see if to don’t fall in love with your waves again. 🌊

WHY don’t I give you the option to skip a bond protector when you receive a lightening service from me?
Because every time you lighten your hair, no matter how gentle a formulation I choose as your colorist, in order to remove color molecules from your hair and create a lighter result, the disulfide bonds in your hair MUST be broken first. And these bonds in our hair are what give our hair elasticity, strength, and health.

✨Step 1 is applied directly into the bleach and minimizes damage during the lightening process.
✨Step 2 is applied at the shampoo bowl and repairs any remaining bonds that were not repaired during Step 1.

Letting your hair air dry on a rainy day 💦
TIP:
If you have frizzy, wavy hair,
try adding a hydrating cream
AND an oil while hair is still wet,
then scrunch and VOILÀ!
I also twisted the top half of my hair into a little loose bun on top of my head for a while before releasing it, which creates extra volume on top if you need it like me!

I am now officially self-employed and will be operating my business at Le Blend - a studio in the heart of the Plateau shared by a few other talented independent professionals like myself who share the same passion for creating incredible hair while providing a laid back, luxurious experience in a beautiful environment.
I said goodbye to my beloved team at LocalB with a with a heart full of gratitude and love. 🤎 Thank you to for offering me my first opportunity in Montréal and for all the years of incredible learning and collaboration
