Makeup artistry has been very dear to my heart for the last 7 years. I've been lucky enough to work with the best clients and collaborate with incredible brands. I LOVED every minute of it and I am extremely grateful for all the memories and great times!!!
I've started "Vanessa Coco Makeup Artist" out of university because I wanted to use my skills and not have to work for anyone else. This has snowballed into a pretty successful part time business. I learned so much! However some of you know that I work full time in digital marketing which is my chosen career and it's been getting harder and harder for me to have all of my weekends booked for weddings. That's why I have decided it's time for me to retire
This is not a farewell. Makeup is still my passion and it's always going to be part of my life. I'm still going to keep my Instagram page active as my main personal page however I'm no longer going to take clients and my website and page are going to be deactivated
I might be getting back into it in the future...who knows?! But for now this is my decision
I wanted to thank all my beautiful brides for trusting me with such an important day in their lives. You have all been so kind to me and are amazing human beings 🤗♥️

We need to reprogram ourselves to appreciate the small things in life. Things that we have taken for granted. Things that we were too busy for and things that don't come in our life's that often...🌷

I'm one of the lucky ones that's still able to do their job from home. While I know this is going to be a challenge I'm trying to find ways to adapt and make this enjoyable.
My advice to you is to create a routine and take care of yourself as much as you can
✨Take time to eat your breakfast & drink your coffee in the morning
✨Take your shower & do your makeup or whatever self care routine you might have
✨ DON'T stay in your pajamas
✨ Still dress up even if you're not going out
✨ DON'T work from a couch. I know it's tempting but it's going to make you less productive and depressed. It's also going to give you back pains
✨Try to eat as healthy as you can. Junk food will only make you feel worse about yourself
✨ Sugar gives people more anxiety in general so try to avoid it
✨WORKOUT!!!There are plenty of online videos that can help you create a workout routine and many apps are offering free subscriptions for the following month. I find that doing yoga helps me balance my mind and anxieties and cardio gets rid of the energy I gather from sitting in my chair all day long
✨Call or FaceTime your family and friends. Everyone needs emotional support to overcome stressful situations. Even if you can't stay very close to the seniors in your family you can still talk to them so they wouldn't feel isolated. I call my mom everyday ❤️
✨Last but not least .. and I hope you know this. by now...WASH your ✋ ✋ ✋ and if you have any symptoms don't spread them! Please think about others as well. WE need to take care of this community because it's everything we've got.

🎉🎂🍾🥂So today I'm 30 years old... I've always thought that I'm going to be sad not to be in my 20s anymore and that life is just going to be plain boring because I'm "not young" anymore. But as I got progressively closer to this age I got more and more excited. It FELT RIGHT! I've never been more happier, confident, fearless and proud of myself. My head is clear and my goals are aligned. I AM EMPOWERED. Society might even describe me in one word -- *Bitchy*🙄
I might have not become a wise old woman...yet...but it feels like this is the best age when you really start LIVING! ✨

This makeup artist was not booked by a bride because she was gay. I feel like despite having access to so much information humans aren't really evolving into a more advanced species. If we still have issues with sexuality today I have no hope for tomorrow.
