Richard @ salon Tessima puts great care in achieving aesthetically beautiful hair colours, using the most appropriate, as well as the finest chemical product in the industry. The results is quality colour- treated hair. Do not expect treatment and conditioners to permanently repair damaged or brittle hair. This begins with cuticle preservation durning the application process. 2 things that you should never allow your colouring technician to do; #1. Only use permanent high ammonia hair colour on hair that requires this strength of chemistry. Emulsified or watered down permanent colours do deposit chemical dyes to the hair. However, they unnecessarily aggravate the resiliency of the hair. They quickly wash out, leaving the hair more porous than necessary. Use low-ammonia, semi or demi hair colours, with lower volume peroxide, on mid shaft amd ends whenever possible. #2. Do not apply heat when processing permanent hair colour or when developing highlights or lowlights, using aluminium foil. Heat only increases the molecular activity, further damaging the cuticle of the hair shaft. In addition, aluminum foil is a natural conductor of heat. It is completely unnecessary to apply heat. It will damage the hair further. It will only increase the speed of which the hair is processed. Slower processing is much more beneficial. Room temperature is best! Next post, 2 business days from now!!

Professional technical hairstyles, Richard @ salon Tessima. Is beginning a series of informative blogs to inform and empower the general population, concerning the process of hair associated chemicals used commonly in most hair salons, the first step in this process is to describe the basic fundamental properties of hair, to begin with hair is very much like a material that has a pattern and a structure that holds it together, Richard believes that the word healthy should not be associated with hair/Having healthy hair would be like having a healthy pair of Jean’s it is not appropriate to describe clothing as healthy. Hair has various degrees of resiliency, as opposed to porosity. Therefore, instead of the word ‘healthy’ the word resilient should be used in place. Instead of the word ‘unhealthy’ the word porous should be used in place. One word never say; I Just purchased a healthy pair of jeans. You cannot feed the hair nutrients. Hair is not skin. It does not have the capacity to rejuvenate on its own. Looking forward to the next, post every 2 days from now!
