Summer Event Hair ☀️✨

Let’s talk about hair that survives the whole day.

Because summer events are beautiful… but they are also a test of endurance for your hairstyle 😅

Heat.
Humidity.
Wind.
Sweating the second you step outside.
Hugging everyone.
Dancing.
Photos in direct sunlight.
Ceremonies outside.
Patios after.
Late nights.

Summer hair goes through a lot.

And honestly, most people are not looking for hair that looks perfect for twenty minutes. They want hair that still feels good hours later after actually living in it.

That is why summer event hair should be designed differently.

The goal is not stiff, overly sprayed hair that cannot move.
The goal is hair that can survive real life.

Hair that holds shape while still feeling soft.
Hair that moves naturally instead of fighting the weather all day.
Hair that still looks beautiful once a few pieces loosen and life starts happening.

Because the truth is, the best event hair usually looks a little lived in by the end of the night anyway 🤍

Whether you are:
✨ A wedding guest
✨ Mother of the bride
✨ Mother of the groom
✨ Maid of honor
✨ Going to grad
✨ Attending a shower or anniversary party
✨ Celebrating a birthday
✨ Or just dressing up because you finally have somewhere fun to go

You deserve hair that lets you enjoy the event instead of constantly checking mirrors and fixing pieces all night.

That starts with having a style that fits:
☀️ Your hair texture
☀️ The weather
☀️ Your outfit
☀️ Your comfort level
☀️ How you actually wear your hair

Some people need more support and structure.
Some need softness and movement.
Some need styles that can handle dancing and humidity without collapsing halfway through dinner 😅

And honestly, one of the most important things is realistic expectations.

Summer hair is supposed to move a little.
It is supposed to soften throughout the day.
It is supposed to look like you had fun.

That does not mean it failed.

Good summer event hair is not about perfection.
It is about longevity, comfort, confidence, and still feeling beautiful at the end of the night ✨🤍

The Friend Group Effect 🤍

One person finds a hairstylist they trust… and suddenly the whole friend group starts showing up 😅

And honestly? That might be one of the biggest compliments a hairstylist can receive.

Because people do not usually recommend someone unless they genuinely feel good about the experience.

It starts small.

A friend notices her hair looks healthier.
Someone asks how she is getting more volume lately.
Another friend notices she is actually wearing her hair down more often.
Someone else asks why her color still looks good weeks later.

Then eventually the question comes:

“Okay seriously… who does your hair?” 😂

And that is usually how it begins.

One appointment turns into sisters, moms, coworkers, neighbors, best friends, daughters, and entire group chats sharing salon recommendations.

Over the years I have watched this happen so many times, and it honestly never stops meaning the world to me.

Because referrals are so much more personal than advertising.

When someone sends their friend to me, they are not just recommending a haircut. They are trusting me with someone they care about.

That trust means everything.

Especially because hair is personal.

People sit in my chair and share insecurities, frustrations, life updates, big events, breakups, weddings, health changes, family stories, and all the little things happening in between.

So when someone says:
“You need to go see Stacey.”
I never take that lightly 🤍

And the funniest part is that friend groups often end up having similar hair conversations too 😅

Everyone struggling with flat hair.
Everyone stuck in claw clips by summer.
Everyone looking for easier routines.
Everyone wanting hair that fits real life instead of taking forever every morning.

I think that is why “easy hair” spreads so quickly through groups of women.

Once one person realizes hair does not have to feel like a daily battle, everybody else starts wanting that feeling too.

So to every client who has ever recommended me, tagged me, shared my posts, brought in a friend, sent your mom, your coworker, your sister, or your entire friend group…

Thank you 🤍

Small businesses grow because people talk, share, and support each other. And this little community that has formed around my chair means more to me than you probably know.

The Friend Group Effect is real ✨

06/12/2026

One woman finds easier hair and suddenly her whole friend group starts asking questions 😅

Who does your hair?
How are you styling it?
Why does it look so much healthier?
How are you making it last longer?

And honestly… that is how most of my favorite clients find me 🤍

Easy hair tends to spread through friend groups pretty quickly.

Because when someone stops fighting their hair every morning, people notice. Not in a dramatic way. In a real life way.

Less stress getting ready.
Less time in the mirror.
More days where the hair just behaves without a full production.

And suddenly the conversations start happening over coffee, at work, in group chats, at events.

Because most people are not actually chasing “perfect hair.”

They are chasing hair that fits their life.

Hair that still looks good on day two and three.
Hair that air dries without turning into a situation.
Hair that does not require a full routine just to leave the house.
Hair that feels like them, just easier.

What is funny is that it is rarely about doing more.

Most of the time it is about doing less, but doing the right things.

Better shape.
Better balance.
Better plan for how you actually live day to day.

And when that clicks for one person, it tends to ripple out.

Friends start asking questions.
People start booking.
Screenshots get shared.
“Who does your hair?” becomes a regular topic 😅

I think that is my favorite kind of marketing honestly.

Not loud. Not forced. Just one person feeling good enough that other people want to know why 🤍

Easy hair really does spread faster than you think ✨

Which summer hair personality are you 👀

☀️ The claw clip girl
☀️ The beach wave optimist
☀️ The sleek bun survivor
☀️ The “I give up” ponytail
☀️ The hat person
☀️ The somehow still blow drying every day person 😅

I already know some of you are tagging your friends right now 😂

And honestly… there is no wrong answer here.

Summer hair is not about being consistent or perfect. It is about survival, comfort, and doing whatever gets you through the heat, humidity, plans, and everything else life throws at you this season.

Some days your hair is styled.
Some days it is clipped up before you even look in the mirror.
Some days you try your best and still end up in a ponytail by noon.

That is normal.

What I see in the chair all the time is that people think they are doing something wrong with their hair when really they are just trying to force a routine that does not match their lifestyle.

Summer is busy. It is hot. It is full. Your hair should support that, not fight it.

So if your summer personality changes depending on the day, the weather, or your energy level… you are doing just fine 😌🤍

Now tell me… which one are you actually living in right now? 👀✨

06/10/2026

I think a lot of women would enjoy summer more if they stopped expecting their hair to stay perfect all day 🤍

Real summer hair moves.
It gets softer.
It gets windblown.
It gets a little frizzy.
It gets tied up halfway through the afternoon 😅

And none of that automatically means it looks bad.

It just means you are actually living your life.

There is a lot of pressure, especially online, to have hair that stays perfectly styled from morning to night no matter what the weather is doing. But that is not real life.

Real life is humidity.
Real life is patios and lake days and BBQs and road trips and kids and errands and spontaneous plans.
Real life is stepping outside and your hair immediately developing its own personality 😂

So instead of fighting it all day, maybe the goal is different.

Hair that still feels good even when it is not perfect.
Hair that can be worn down, then up, then down again without stress.
Hair that looks better the more you live in it, not the more you fix it.

That is what I love helping people with in the chair.

Creating shapes and routines that support your actual summer life, not a fantasy version of it where nothing moves and nothing changes.

Because you are not supposed to spend the whole season worrying about your hair.

You are supposed to be outside enjoying it 🤍🌿

So send this to someone who needs the reminder ✨

06/09/2026

Hot take 🤍

If you are constantly worrying about your hair in summer, the plan is too complicated.

Summer hair should feel free.

You should be able to go outside, sit on a patio, get caught in the wind, throw it up halfway through the day, and still feel good.

Not fix it.
Not stress about it.
Not redo it three times before leaving the house 😅

Just live your life and let your hair come along for it.

I think a lot of people get stuck trying to make their hair behave perfectly in a season that is literally designed for movement, heat, humidity, and real life chaos.

So they add more steps. More products. More heat. More time.

And somehow end up more frustrated than when they started.

But the truth is, summer hair usually gets better when it gets simpler.

A haircut that supports your natural texture.
A shape that still looks good when it air dries.
A routine you can actually repeat without thinking too hard.
A style that still feels like you even when it is not freshly styled.

That is what I mean by wearable.

Hair that does not require constant checking, adjusting, or worrying every time you step outside.

Because summer is not the season for perfection.

It is the season for patios, lake days, road trips, BBQs, weddings, concerts, and saying yes to plans without a two hour prep routine 😌☀️

So if your hair has been stressing you out lately, it might not be you.

It might just be time to simplify the plan 🤍

06/08/2026

Humidity really has some people out here questioning their entire identity 😅

You leave the house looking smooth, polished, and put together…

And then five minutes later your hair starts doing things you never agreed to 😂

Suddenly there is volume where you did not want volume, frizz appearing out of nowhere, and pieces that seem to have their own agenda for the day.

Summer hair is not about controlling every strand.

It is about working with what real life weather is going to do anyway.

Heat, humidity, sweat, wind, lake days, beach days, patios, and just being outside more often all change how your hair behaves. And no amount of effort can fully override that.

That is why I always come back to the same thing with clients.

The goal is not perfect hair every minute of the day.
The goal is a haircut and routine that can survive real life.

A shape that still looks good when it air dries.
Layers that do not collapse the second it gets warm.
Weight removed in the right places so it does not feel heavy or puffy.
A style that still feels like you even when the weather is doing the most 😅

Because when your haircut is working with your texture instead of against it, summer becomes a lot less frustrating.

You stop fighting your hair all day.
You stop over styling it just to have it fall apart.
You stop feeling like you need to fix it every time you step outside.

And honestly, that is the real win.

Not hair that behaves perfectly in humidity.
Hair that still feels good in humidity 🤍☀️

06/07/2026

We all have that one friend whose summer hairstyle is just ✨survival✨

Messy bun.
Claw clip.
Ponytail.
Repeat until September 😅

And honestly… it is usually not because she is lazy.

It is because her hair feels like too much work when the weather warms up.

Summer changes everything. Heat, humidity, sweat, lake days, patio nights, vacations, and being outside more often all affect how hair behaves. Styles that felt easy in winter suddenly feel like a full time job in July.

So instead of fighting it every morning, a lot of people just default to putting it up and moving on.

But here is the thing I always remind my clients.

If your hair only feels manageable when it is tied up, that is usually a sign something is off with the shape, weight, or how it is being maintained.

It is not about doing more.
It is about making it easier.

Sometimes that looks like removing bulk in the right places.
Sometimes it is refreshing old layers that are no longer working.
Sometimes it is adjusting length so it does not feel so heavy in the heat.
Sometimes it is simply building a haircut that actually supports air drying and quick styling.

Hair should fit your life, not slow it down.

And summer is meant to be lived in, not spent constantly fixing your hair in the mirror 😅☀️

So yes, tag your “hair goes up the second it hits 20 degrees” friend 🤍

And maybe gently remind her that she does not have to survive summer hair… she can actually enjoy it too ✨

06/06/2026

A client sat in my chair recently and said:

“I don’t want anything fancy. I just want my hair to be easy in summer.”

And honestly? I think more people feel this way than they realize.

Most people are not looking for complicated routines or hair that only looks good after an hour of styling. Especially this time of year.

Summer changes how we live.

We are outside more.
We are busier.
We are traveling.
We are sweating 😂
We are throwing our hair up between errands, patios, lake days, weddings, and everything else life packs into these few warm months.

So when someone tells me they want “easy hair,” I take that seriously.

Because easy does not mean boring.
Easy means supportive.

It means a haircut that works with your texture instead of against it.
A shape that still looks good when you air dry it.
Layers that move properly without needing perfect styling.
Removing weight where hair feels too heavy or bulky.
Choosing details that fit your actual lifestyle instead of your fantasy routine.

So that is exactly what we did.

We kept it simple.

We adjusted the shape, softened things up, removed some weight, and made sure the haircut would still look good with quick styling and summer routines.

Nothing dramatic.
Nothing trendy.
Just thoughtful changes designed around her real life.

A few weeks later she came back and told me she had been wearing her hair down more than she had in years.

That right there is one of my favorite kinds of feedback.

Because when people stop hiding their hair, fighting with it, or feeling frustrated by it every day… that matters.

And the funny thing is, from the outside, someone else might not even notice exactly what changed.

But the person wearing the hair feels it.

They feel lighter.
More comfortable.
More confident.
More like themselves.

Sometimes easy really is the biggest transformation 🤍☀️

06/05/2026

Hot take 🤍

Summer hair should not be high effort.

If your routine gets longer when the weather gets nicer… something is off.

You should not be spending more time on your hair during the season you are outside living the most.

Summer is for patios, lake days, weddings, vacations, camping trips, walks at sunset, gardening, markets, concerts, and saying yes to spontaneous plans. It is not supposed to be the season where you are trapped in front of a mirror fighting with a blow dryer for an hour every morning 😅

And yet so many people end up doing exactly that because their hair stops cooperating the second summer arrives.

More frizz.
More puffiness.
More flat roots.
More sweating out your style five minutes after finishing it 😂

So people respond by adding more products, more steps, more heat, more effort.

But honestly? Most of the time summer hair needs less.

Less weight.
Less over styling.
Less complicated routines.
Less pressure for perfection.

Easy hair is the real luxury in summer.

Hair that air dries nicely.
Hair that still looks good in a ponytail.
Hair that survives humidity without emotional damage 😅
Hair that moves naturally instead of fighting against the weather all day.

That is why I always talk so much about shape. Because the right haircut changes everything.

When your haircut supports your natural texture and your actual lifestyle, your routine gets shorter instead of longer.

Your layers sit better.
Your volume lasts longer.
Your curls behave more naturally.
Your hair does not feel as heavy or frustrating.

And no, easy hair does not mean boring hair.

You can still have beautiful hair without spending your entire summer managing it.

Honestly, one of the biggest compliments I hear from clients is:
“My hair has been so much easier lately.”

That is the goal.

Not hair that only looks good after a full styling session.
Hair that works in real life.

Because the best summer hair usually looks a little lived in anyway 🤍☀️
