Why I Use K18 During Blonding Services
Blonding can be tough on the hair, which is why I incorporate K18 Mist and the K18 Leave-In Treatment into many of my lightening services.
K18 works at a molecular level to repair damage caused by bleach, colour, and heat by reconnecting broken keratin chains in the hair.
Benefits during blonding:

Black hair dye removal. Thankfully this was salon colour !
Started off with Malibu colour disruptor & cpr, a 0 damage colour remover that can be used multiple times in one day! Im so happy ive brought this into my salon !!
Today we did two rounds we got to a level six Ish brown. I was super happy with the results, Aftwe We did a k18 treatment and then proceeded with a platinum card which is basically everything in foils back to back, once I was happy with the lift, I then applied another round of lighter to her regrowth once everything was as even as I could get it, I washed her following with a k18 mask, we did a root tap, toned the ends, followed with a gloss to seal up the cuticle.
8 hours later we got to a beautiful blonde!
This was a long process but so worth it !!
My first day back in the chair after my Daddio’s passing but I feel so good to get back on track and spend time with my guests !

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Stanley Giddins, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 65.
Joseph was born on November 1, 1960, in Newmarket, Ontario, to Doris Giddins and Stanley George Giddins. He was a beloved father to Jodi Marie Giddins and her husband, Matthew McGillivray, stepfather to Nathyn Roache, loving grandfather to Elijah, Devlin, and Nolan, and brother to Gail Patchett, who, with her husband Lawrence Patchett, are the proud parents of Ashlea Sampat and Bryan Patchett.
Joseph loved his family dearly. He passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side, along with his faithful dog, Lucy. He will also be remembered for his incredible skill and passion for furniture refinishing, transforming antiques into beautiful works of art with patience and care.
Joseph’s life was marked by strength, perseverance, and kindness. He faced many health challenges with courage, and his family remained by his side throughout. He will be remembered for his enduring spirit, his love for his family, and the warmth and creativity he shared with everyone who knew him.
A celebration of life will be hosted on January 17, 2026, from 2:30 – 5:00 PM at the Whitby Columbus Club, located at 133 Brock St. N, Whitby, ON L1N 4H3, Canada. Following the celebration, there will be a gathering at The Friendly Fox, where Joseph’s birthday party was held — his last celebration alive. He had a wonderful day surrounded by family and friends on his birthday.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated for Joseph’s dog, Lucy, who is in need of leg surgery. A GoFundMe page will be provided for contributions.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
