🌟Slow build for this gal! This client came to me (from peterborough!!!) wanting lip enhancement. She naturally has small m-shaped lips and we opted to do 1mL over 2 sessions in order to preserve her tissue integrity. A chin cleft is typically an inherited trait. It forms when the left and right side of the mandible (jaw bone) don’t completely fuse during fetal development.

Lip filler or lip flip? ✨

This has come up in my practice a fair bit recently! Many people seem to be confused by the differences and what is best for them.

A lip flip uses neurotoxin to relax the obicularis oris and stop your upper lip from curling under when you smile. This helps to have your lip “show” more. A lip flip has a shorter duration, typically about 8 weeks. It can have a huge impact on your smile if you’re the right candidate! It doesn’t come without cons though - certain movements feel weird, it can be hard to use a straw, spit, etc.

Lip filler uses cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler to add volume, plump, correct shape & asymmetries etc. Careful placement of the filler can achieve a bit of a “flip” but the best modality is a combo of the two! 💫
