I wanted to kindly share (or gently remind) everyone about the studio’s booking policies. These guidelines help ensure the best experience for all while protecting the time and dedication behind every appointment.

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your slot. This reserves my time exclusively for you and covers the preparation involved in your service.

I kindly request at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. This gives me a fair opportunity to offer the time to another client and supports the studio as my full-time livelihood.

Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a charge of 50% of the appointment fee.

Your understanding and respect for these policies mean so much as they allow me to continue offering the high-quality, personalized care you deserve while covering the costs of our beautiful studio and my livelihood.

✨Scar Camouflage – Why Pre-Treatment is Key ✨

The Importance of Treating Scars Before Camouflage Scar camouflage can work wonders, blending scars with surrounding skin to boost confidence. (Swipe) As seen in this client’s photo, skipping proper pre-treatment can lead to disappointing results. This client had previously visited an artist who applied pigment without addressing the scar’s discoloration or texture, leaving the darker tone underneath still visible and the pigment sitting unevenly. Why Pre-Treatment Matters: Tone Correction: Untreated discoloration (like the darker scar here) can show through camouflage if not lightened first. Pre-treatments can even out the tone for a seamless match.
Texture Prep: Raised or rough scar tissue, if ignored, causes pigment to settle unevenly. Smoothing the texture beforehand ensures better adhesion and a natural look.
Healing First: Applying pigment too soon risks rejection or fading, especially on unhealed or reactive scars.

Best Approach:
Start with a pre-treatment (e.g., to lighten tone) and allow 8-12 weeks for healing. Only then apply pigment, matching it to the skin. For this client, addressing the underlying darkness and texture will pave the way for a successful camouflage. Lesson Learned: Rushing the process without treating tone and texture can highlight the scar more. Patience with pre-treatment is the secret to lasting results.Have questions or need a consultation?
