I love a good spray tan (I was a spray tan artist myself), but I almost always tell my brides to skip the face.

Not because of the spray tan artist — because of the aftercare.
You’re getting your tan 2–3 days before the wedding, but you’re still cleansing, moisturizing, applying serums, SPF, and doing your skincare.

Naturally, the tan on your face can fade unevenly, cling to dry patches, and affect how makeup sits on the skin.

And honestly? You don’t need it.

Wedding season officially kicked off this month and we had the busiest, most beautiful start with 10 weddings 🥹 We also hosted our very first bridal suite wedding this month and it was such a special day from start to finish.

This month was filled with so many exciting moments — hosting a content day at the studio with my makeup team + hair friends, creating nonstop content, bridal trial appointment’s, makeup lessons, celebrating friends, and so many late nights behind the scenes.

The biggest highlight of all was officially launching the Rebecca Rose Beauty Online Academy ✨
This project has been over TWO years in the making and honestly… I need to do a full storytime on why it took me so long lol.

From late night marketing strategy sessions, last minute content shoots with .byrita , meetings with our social media management gal .elena.ro our launch queens , the final crunch with my web developer .co and our beta testing night with some industry friends to give me their honest opinion of my platform. So much love, energy, and hard work went into bringing this vision to life.

We also wrapped up a 10-week mentorship with my student who’s been training to become a makeup artist 🥹 Watching artists grow in their confidence and skills is genuinely one of my favourite parts of what I do.

I also had 12 makeup lessons this month for everyday women wanting to learn how to feel more confident doing their own makeup — which has been SO rewarding 🤍

I never had a perfect plan… and honestly, I still don’t.
From being a competitive ballroom dancer at 11 (which is where my love for makeup really started), to doing makeup for friends, to working full-time at MAC while in university and going to beauty school on the side…

I just kept saying yes to opportunities and figuring it out as I went.

Not gonna lie—university tested me 😅
I wanted to quit so many times, but I didn’t. That discipline carried into everything I do.

What started as taking clients on the side turned into my career, my business, and something I genuinely love showing up for every day.

10+ years later, being a makeup educator and mentoring artists is still my favorite part 🤍

I truly believe you don’t need a perfect plan—just consistency, passion, and the willingness to keep going.
