Well… this is a post I never thought I’d have to write.

I have breast cancer.

Even typing those words still doesn’t feel real.

A few weeks ago I was living my normal life — living active and eating healthy has ALWAYS been a regular part of life for myself and my children. I was busy working, running around with my kids, making plans and worrying about all the regular things. Then suddenly my world became biopsies, scans, surgeons, oncologists and treatment plans.

I’m 45, have ALWAYS been healthy. I have three kids who need their mom and have ALWAYS come first, I have a business I love, plans I haven’t finished, places I haven’t been and a whole lot of life I’m not even close to being done living.

Am I scared? Absolutely.

Have I cried, been angry, asked “why me?” and had moments where this all feels completely unfair? Yep.

But I’m also ready to fight like hell.

The next chapter is going to be hard. Treatment is going to change how I look, how I feel and what my life looks like for a while. So instead of hiding it, I’ve decided I’m going to share some of it — the good, the bad, the ugly and probably some inappropriate humour along the way.

And ladies… check your b***s. Know what is normal for YOUR body. If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked and keep advocating for yourself.

Cancer was definitely NOT on my 2026 bingo card.

But here we are. Thank you so much to my family and friends who have already stepped up, your support in this unwelcomed surprise journey means the world to me and my 3 kiddos 🩷
