Around this time last year, I had the crazy idea of leaving the beauty industry to take up a new career… 🚂

After working 70+ hours a week during 2021 between two different salons, I was feeling the burnout and needed change. I ignored the thought of leaving and decided to hang tight and change salons to see if that would spark some motivation!

The thought of changing my career still crossed my mind everyday… A client of mine sent me a job posting for a train conducting position and I ended up applying to 30 different locations around Canada 🫣

Flash forward to August - I finally got a call for an interview! After months of testing, I’ve officially completed my hiring process and am set to start my training in Winnipeg on November 28th! I’ll be relocating to Jasper for the next few years to take on this career! 🏔

This will shock some of you but others know this is something I’ve been talking about for well over a year!! This is a HUGE change for me and I could not be more excited for my future with CN! A career that gets me out of Red Deer, gets me moving and gets me outside 🍃

I want to send a huge thank you to each and every one of you that supported me in the beauty industry the past 4 years 🫶🏻 This chapter in my life was nothing short of amazing! I have met so many wonderful people and life long friends along the way; and gained so many skills that I will have for life!

Hi - I’m Michaela! You can call me Mic! I’ve been a stylist for 3 years now and and picked up lashing while I was in hair school back in 2019. It was only during covid I started taking lashing more seriously and make another career out of it! I love blondes, mens barbering and all things colour! Volume lashes hold a special place in my heart, however a simple lash lift and tint is a favourite also. It’s crazy how quick a relationship builds when you see me every two weeks 🤪 losing a client is like losing a mini bestie… I’ve had a few move out of province since the fall and I truly miss y’all.
