OSHA requires product manufacturers to provide salon owners with safety data sheets (SDSs) 1 for the products they buy that contain hazardous chemicals. Employers must make these SDSs available to you. Your employer must also train you so that you understand the chemicals’ potential hazards and how to use the products safely.
In general, an SDS must provide the following information:
• Hazardous ingredients in the product
• How you can be exposed to the ingredients
• Health and safety risks you face when using the product
• Steps for safely using and storing the product, including what to do in emergencies

L'OSHA exige que les fabricants de produits fournissent aux propriétaires de salons des fiches de données de sécurité (FDS) pour les produits qu'ils achètent et qui contiennent des produits chimiques dangereux. Les employeurs doivent mettre ces fiches de données de sécurité à votre disposition. Votre employeur doit également vous former afin que vous compreniez les dangers potentiels des produits chimiques et que vous sachiez comment utiliser ces produits en toute sécurité.
En général, une fiche de données de sécurité doit fournir les informations suivantes :
• Les ingrédients dangereux contenus dans le produit
• Comment vous pouvez être exposé à ces ingrédients
• Les risques pour la santé et la sécurité auxquels vous êtes confrontés en utilisant le produit

A lash extension professional will come in contact with mucous membrane when they apply the lash extensions close to the waterline. Therefore, these tools must be disinfected with HLD5.
