Today was honestly so special. 🥰

I was doing lashes and mini glam at the TCFS Youth Conference in Saskatoon, and it turned into one of those full-circle moments for me.

So many of the youth who came up to my table are girls I’ve met at past workshops. I remember some of them being shy, quiet, not wanting their pictures taken. And today? They were smiling big, picking out their lashes, posing for photos, and just glowing.

Seeing their growth like that hit my heart.

This work has never just been about lashes or lip kits for me. It’s about showing up for our youth consistently and watching them step into their confidence over time.

As an Indigenous woman building Daybird Beauty, moments like today remind me why I keep going. It matters. They matter.

So proud of them. And so grateful I get to witness it. ✨

Here are some moments from my Daybird Beauty “Deadly Aunties Workshop” ❤️✨

This workshop brought together 18 participants ranging in age from 13 to 80, with a beautiful mix of skill levels. I asked the women what they wanted to learn, and they said: skincare routines, how to apply lashes, contouring, choosing the correct foundation shade, and filling in brows — so we covered all of it.

Through Daybird Beauty, my goal is to make makeup and self-care approachable, empowering, and inclusive. Each participant was gifted all the tools and beauty products needed for a full face of makeup, along with self-care items in their goody bags so they could continue practicing and feeling confident long after the workshop ended.

There were so many laughs, shared tips and tricks, and genuine connection in the room. By the end, the women were glowing inside and out.

This is the heart of Daybird Beauty. I truly love what I do. 💄🥰✨
