5 things I’d tell you if I wasn’t afraid to hurt your feelings… Haircare Edition. 👀

1. When I recommend a product, it’s because I genuinely believe it will help you achieve your hair goals. If you choose not to use it—or buy something completely different because it’s cheaper—I can’t promise the same results. Professional recommendations are part of your hair plan, not a sales pitch.

2. Coming to your appointment with dirty hair doesn’t make your colour work better. In fact, excessive oil buildup often has an odour, which can be a sign that microorganisms are thriving on the scalp. A healthy, clean scalp creates a better environment for both your hair and your scalp health.

3. Not all shampoos and body care products are created equal. Many everyday personal care products contain ingredients that have raised concerns for their potential health effects. That’s why I choose to work with brands that prioritize high-quality, science-backed formulations.

4. Hair loss isn’t always “just hormones” or a thyroid issue. Nutrient deficiencies, low iron, stress, scalp inflammation, and other underlying factors can all contribute. Healthy hair starts with a healthy body—and a healthy scalp.

5. Hair trends have changed… and so has colour. The days of every client getting a full head of traditional foils are fading. Today’s dimensional, lived-in colours require a customized approach. More foils don’t always equal better hair—strategic placement, healthy hair, and a personalized plan do.

Hair care isn’t about following trends or buying the most products. It’s about understanding your hair, your scalp, and making choices that support long-term health.

Which one surprised you the most? 👇

Last week’s grey blending class with and left me feeling so inspired! 🤍

If you’re 100% grey and looking for a softer, more even tone, I can help.

You’ve worked hard to embrace your natural grey—now let’s refine it with a customized grey blending service that enhances your silver, evens out the tone, and creates a beautiful, low-maintenance result.

Imagine only needing to see me three times a year while still loving your hair. ✨

For years we’ve been told, “Don’t wash your hair too often—it will make your scalp produce more oil.”

But what if that isn’t the whole story?

One thing I see regularly through my scalp microscope is significant oil buildup. While I can’t diagnose medical conditions, I can tell you that excess sebum creates an environment where microorganisms, including bacteria and yeast, can thrive. This can contribute to scalp irritation and inflammation.

When the hair follicle becomes inflamed, it may affect the hair growth cycle. Hair doesn’t shed immediately—changes to the follicle can take weeks to months before increased shedding becomes noticeable. We often assume it’s only hormones or stress, but sometimes the scalp itself deserves a closer look.

I’ve had guests take microscope images to their physician or dermatologist for further evaluation. Seeing what’s happening on the scalp can help start an important conversation.

My goal is always to support a healthy scalp first. If professional scalp care products and targeted treatments aren’t enough, I will always recommend following up with your doctor or dermatologist, who can determine whether a prescription treatment is appropriate.

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp—and sometimes the answers are hiding where we can’t see them with the naked eye.

✨ Swipe to see the before! ✨

This blonde was created using high-lift color with just a few bleach foils at the root only.

Believe it or not, this gorgeous blonde was once a color correction. At her previous blonding appointment, she had level 1 box black from the nape down, making this transformation a true labor of patience, skill, and trust.

Four hours later, we achieved this soft, bright blonde while keeping the integrity of her hair a top priority. 💫

I couldn’t be happier with the result—and neither could she! 🫶
