I am a Care Aide working in Long-term Care, and have experience working and collaborating with people of all ability levels. No dealing with bad roads, parking, or trying to get in and out of spa chairs. Completed a dry pedicure class today! I'm very excited to begin offering this option to clients. It saves time because you don't have to soak your feet first, and leaves nails dry and not waterlogged, creating a better foundation for nail polish, if desired.
Dry pedicure uses specialty bits for the efile, a tool you may be familiar with if you've had a gel or shellac application before. These bits efficiently and effortlessly remove dead skin, so it is not necessary to go over the same spot many times and risk tenderness or scrapes. The final step is a gentle buffer bit to massage every last bit of lotion and cuticle oil into your skin and smooth out any remaining uneven edges.

Soft gel polish, like the Apres line that I offer with my manicures and pedicures, offers the option of "soaking off" both the color and gel extension with concentrated nail polish remover.
Unlike shellac and hard gels, which can only be filed off of the nails.
