Following the provincial re-opening plan I hope to open up at the beginning of July. As the date comes closer, I will post my hours of availability and begin booking appointments again.
However, effective August 15th, 2021, Nailed It! mobile spa service will officially and permanently be closed. The last 7+ years have been a dream come true for myself and my family. But the dream has changed, the family needs have changed. It's time for me to close the door on Nailed It!, and follow the new path that God has laid before me.
I can't thank you all enough for the way you have supported and encouraged my dream over these last 7 years. I have learned so much and built friendships that I hope will last a lifetime.
I could never leave you in the lurch, so I did some homework and found 3 absolutely amazing ladies that are more than capable of taking my place. I will be linking their business pages in the comments of this post.
My aunt, Sandra of Fine Esthetics, has a beautifully cozy in-home spa room for manis, pedis, waxing, and more. She is also able to pack up for mobile services. Sandra is located in Caistor Centre, and will travel within Grimsby and West Niagara.
My sister-in-law, Mel of Mel's Esthetics, offers full aesthetic services including manicures, pedicures, waxing, lashes, etc. Mel is based right off the highway in St Catharines and has an amazing in-home spa room for a relaxing experience.
Dionne, of DeeLightful Beauty, is a mobile esthetician based in Smithville and is eager to accommodate my clients who prefer to have their services completed in the comfort and privacy of their own home.
I will update my page in a few weeks as the personal services opening date comes closer.

Looks like it'll likely be awhile yet before hair salons open, and I don't imagine nails will be available before hair.
It's going to be a lo-o-o-o-o-ong summer...
Ontario hair salons, barbers to stay closed until 'toward the end of summer,' says Medical Officer of Health EASTERN ONTARIO — The dentist’s chair is now OK, but the salon chair remains forbidden territory. And it will only be “toward the end of summer” before increasingly shaggy Ontarians return to their barbers and...

In 25 or 30 years, this time period will be in textbooks! Help your kids put together the stories they'll tell their grandkids to share in class

Here's a great idea!!

First of all, let me make 2 things crystal clear:
1- this decision was not made lightly, and
2- this really, really, REALLY sucks.
Effective immediately, Nailed It! is closed for the "foreseeable future." (How sick are we of hearing those words, right???)
As many of you know, my family is helping to care for my senior grandmother. While the world is being told to distance from seniors, we have a grandmother who lives in her own home and requires 24/7 care. I can't distance myself from my grandmother, which means I need to distance myself from others. While I have no doubt that your houses are not only clean but sanitary, I simply cannot risk my grandmother's health.
In addition to now having the kids home full-time (like most of you), I can't keep up with everything. I'm canceling all appointments for at least the next couple of weeks. I know it's inconvenient for you, it is for me too. There are just too many factors at play for me to balance.
I'm sorry for any disappointment this may cause, please believe that I struggled HARD with this decision.
After all of this goes away, I will be in touch and book everyone in again in the order that they missed appointments. After all of the missed appointments are re-booked, I will again open my calendar to other bookings.
Take care of yourselves, take care of your families, and wash your hands.
Thank you in advance for understanding,
Stef

Over the next few weeks, many of us will be increasing our time spent at home and it may be difficult to find things to do all day - especially if you have younger kids.
So I was thinking of a way for our community to still get outside for some fresh air and do something fun while keeping a healthy distance.
St. Patrick’s Day is coming up so I thought we could do a 🍀Shamrock Hunt🍀! All you have to do is put a Shamrock on a street side window this Tuesday, March 17th 🍀. That’s it! Color it, paint it, cut it out, draw it, print it out, whatever. Then we can get outside, walk/drive around and see how many Shamrocks we can find 🍀! Leave them up for a week?
It’s easy. No human contact. Get fresh air. Don’t buy toilet paper. Just put a shamrock in your window 🍀. Happy hunting and thank you in advance for your participation!
(Shared from a local mom group...keep it going! What a great idea!)

⚠️I have 1 remaining bottle of the alcohol that I use to sanitize my tools. There is none on the shelves.
⚠️I have a senior grandmother who I am helping to provide care for, and therefore I cannot get sick.
⚠️I see other Nail Techs closing their home businesses.
⚠️I know MOST (not all) of the people who have appointments with me in the next few weeks, and a few are immunocompromised. (Seniors, chemo patients, asthmatics.)
⚠️Wear a mask? Hahahahahaha, nobody has masks left on the shelf!
In short, it's not looking promising.

We spent most of our time together discussing how much I'm going to love the Backstreet Boys concert I'm going to this summer. Then just as I was about to pull in my driveway I had to instead drive around the block because "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" came on the radio.
