In honor of my 25th birthday on September 25th, I would like to take some time out of my life to raise awareness and money to help support an organization that means a lot to me, the Crisis Intervention and Su***de Prevention Centre of BC. Did you know that it is estimated that "a death every 40 seconds or about 3,000 every day" is by su***de? This breaks my heart. World Su***de Prevention Day is on September 10th, but I believe that we should be committed to this every single day. I hope that everybody goes beyond sharing a post to their story. Be kind always because you never know what someone is going through in their personal life. And smile more!

Personally, I have struggled with suicidal thoughts for many years but I am grateful that I have amazing support, they are the reason I am here today. Su***de prevention is important to me because I am alive because of people who cared enough to make sure I was okay. Unfortunately, not everybody has that available, so being able to help even one person will honestly mean so much to me. I would genuinely appreciate every single dollar raised for this non-profit organization. And, if you or anybody you know ever needs somebody to talk to, please please feel free to reach out to me on any platform, I promise to create a judgment-free safe zone for you. To anyone out there who's hurting - it's not a sign of weakness to ask for help, it's a sign of strength. You are not alone.
