A quick reminder... โจ
Your body works hard for you every day. Take a moment to give it the care it deserves.
Your wellness is worth it. ๐
The clamshell may look simple, but it's one of the best exercises for improving hip stability and strengthening the muscles that support everyday movement.
Strong hips can help improve balance, support proper knee alignment, and reduce unnecessary stress on your lower back and knees.
Save this exercise and give it a try! ๐ช
Running more isn't always the answer. ๐
The runners who stay healthy and perform their best know that recovery, strength, mobility, and stability matter just as much as the miles they log.
Take care of your body, and it'll take care of your runs.
๐พ Save this post for your next training block and share it with a runner who needs to see it.
Underrated back exercise ๐
Seated good mornings are a great way to work on hip hinge control, trunk strength, and posterior chain strength.
By moving from a seated position, this exercise encourages controlled movement through the hips while the back and core work to maintain position.
Focus on:
โ
Sitting tall before you start
โ
Keeping your feet planted
โ
Hinging forward from the hips
โ
Keeping your spine long
โ
Moving slowly and with control
โ
Using a weight that feels manageable

Feeling tension between your shoulder blades lately?
This simple upper back stretch is a great way to help loosen up tight muscles through the middle of your back, especially if you spend long hours sitting, studying, or working at a desk. ๐ป
All you need to do:
๐ช Reach your arms out in front of you
๐ช Gently tuck your chin down
๐ช Hold for around 30 seconds
๐ช Repeat throughout the day as needed
You should feel a nice stretch between your shoulder blades and through your upper back. ๐
Sometimes a quick stretch break is exactly what your body needs.
Save this and try adding this stretch into your daily routine.
Frozen shoulder can make even simple movements feel frustrating.
One exercise we often recommend is the wall crawl because it helps you gently work on shoulder movement without pushing the joint too hard.
Using the wall for support allows you to slowly move into stiff or restricted ranges while helping your shoulder build confidence with movement again. ๐ชด
The goal is gradual progress, not forcing through pain.
Small, consistent movements can go a long way when recovering from frozen shoulder.
If your shoulder stiffness has been sticking around, it might be worth getting it checked so you can get the right guidance for your recovery.

Neck and upper back feeling stiff lately? ๐ฃ
This simple pocket stretch, also known as the levator scapulae stretch, can help ease tension through the back of your neck and upper shoulders.
Hereโs how:
โก๏ธ Look diagonally down toward your pocket
โก๏ธ Gently use the same side hand to guide your head down
โก๏ธ Hold for 20 to 30 seconds
โก๏ธ Repeat a few times throughout the day
Itโs a quick stretch you can do at home, at work, or even during study breaks ๐ปโจ
Small movements like this can make a big difference when it comes to managing everyday neck and upper back discomfort.
Save this for later and give it a try when your neck feels tight.
One of my favourite exercises: Reverse leg raises ๐ฅ
Hereโs why theyโre so good for your body:
โ๏ธ They target your posterior chain
This exercise works your glutes and lower back, which are key for supporting your spine.
โ๏ธ They improve hip extension strength
Strong hip extension helps with walking, running, and lifting with more ease and control.
โ๏ธ They support lower back stability
By strengthening the muscles around your hips and back, your body can handle load better and move more efficiently.
โ๏ธ They train control, not just strength
Keeping your body stable while lifting the leg builds coordination, balance, and better movement quality.
โ๏ธ Theyโre great for counteracting sitting
Since sitting keeps your hips in a flexed position, this helps train the opposite movement your body needs.
Simple movement, big carryover when done consistently and with good form.
Try this next time you train and notice how your body feels.
If you want more exercises like this tailored to you, we can help you build a plan.

Hereโs why it matters: ๐
With frozen shoulder, gentle and consistent movement is key. Staying active within a comfortable range helps maintain mobility and keeps the joint from getting even stiffer over time.
But pushing into high pain too early can actually do the opposite. It may increase irritation and slow down your progress instead of speeding it up.
Think controlled, not forced. Small movements done regularly can go a long way. ๐ช
If youโre unsure what โsafe movementโ looks like for your shoulder, we can help guide you through it.
