On Blue Monday, we're proposing fragrance as a quiet tool to boost wellbeing and happiness. Because if we can't change the facts of the day, we can change how we move through it.
After all, scent is powerful.
• It grounds us when the world feels noisy
• It can lift one's mood, quietly and profoundly
• It softens stress through breath and memory
• It encourages us to pause in the middle of motion
• It brings comfort, clarity, or gentle energy
• It helps us feel present, not rushed
• It reminds us that pleasure can be subtle
• It turns routine into ritual
• It offers beauty as a form of care
So let's take a second with scent. Pause, breathe, repeat.
If you're also scent-minded, follow along, like, comment and/or tag a fellow perfume-loving friend.

Love the painterly beauty of this!
It's 2026, so we're looking ahead at perfume trends.
Here, four that you’re about to smell everywhere.
Let’s start with coffee, matcha, tea.
Earthy. Grounded scents.
A little bitter. A little green.
More soil and leaf than sugar and foam.
Caffeinated scents that feel calm, not buzzy.
And vanilla. That beloved note isn’t going anywhere.
But it’s less sweet now.
Rich. Deep. Still delicious.
Think nuts, spice, and warmth.
Vanilla with texture. With presence. With depth.
Fruits are getting juicier.
We saw cherries everywhere in 2025 —
now they’re darker, deeper, more ripe.
Add lush tropicals: banana, passionfruit, mango are being added to the ripe berry and stone-fruit mix.
Sun-warmed, pulpy, almost overripe.
And skin scents.
Still intimate. Still close.
Grounded in woods and oud, but softened.
Sheer. More transparent.
Scents you lean into, not step away from.
2026 isn’t about loud perfume.
It’s about calm, deep, grounded and sexy scents.
Which trend are you leaning into?

SUMMER WARDROBE
A fresh breeze embraces summer. Airy, intensely bright sillages that settle on the skin like a soft caress.
Un souffle de fraîcheur embrasse l’été. Des sillages aériens, intensément lumineux, qui se posent sur la peau comme une caresse légère.
We're big fans of quintessentially summer scents: Salt spray, warm skin, driftwood at golden hour.
Beach Walk by Maison Margiela – sun-warmed skin & soft citrus
Bronze Goddess by Estée Lauder – coconut cream + solar amber
Beach by Bobbi Brown – pure sunscreen nostalgia
Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford – Italian coast in a bottle

Mondays = foggy brain?
We're here for a feel-good fragrance tip: Peppermint.
Yep, that's right. Studies show peppermint oil improves alertness, cognitive stamina, and even memory. So go ahead, brew a pot of peppermint tea, or better yet, add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to your home-office diffuser, and breathe! Then, you can get down to business...

Citrus = Instant Mood Booster
It's Monday, so we're looking to our perfume collection for a little motivation; a little mojo. Did you know that lemon, orange, bergamot… and citrus scents in general have been shown to increase serotonin and dopamine, giving your brain a gentle nudge toward joy. And who couldn't use a little spritz of joy to start the week?

Feeling overwhelmed? Inhaling lavender has been shown to reduce cortisol levels and activate the parasympathetic nervous system—your body’s calm mode.
More scent = less stress.
Another reason we believe in the power of perfume. And why we think lavender belongs in your garden! 😊

Launched in 2010 by Frédéric Malle, this bold, baroque scent blends Turkish rose, dark berries, and smoky woods into something unforgettable. Perfumer Dominique Ropion created a perfume that’s as classic as it is unapologetically modern. Opinionated. Opulent. Forever chic.

Sheep-ruh, but make it chic.
Chypres are having a moment (again). From Coty’s 1917 classic to today’s edgy new blends, this fragrance family has always been about contrast: bright citrus, lush florals, earthy woods, but all combined in the most glorious way. Intrigued?
We’re breaking down the chypre comeback — and spotlighting the best to try now — in the latest issue of our mini magazine.

EepURL - A Mailchimp Service We created EepURL as a trackable shortening service for Mailchimp's built-in Twitter integration. At the time, we opened it up to the public, because we felt there weren't enough monkey-based URL shorteners out there.

It’s Monday, so we’re here for a feel-good fragrance moment.
So…Vanilla.
Consider its power: Warm, familiar scent of vanilla activates your limbic system — the part of your brain tied to emotion and memory. Studies show it can help lower anxiety, soften startle responses, and even boost feelings of safety and connection.
That’s why a whiff of vanilla can feel like a hug. It's scent to soothe: Comfort. Calm. Cozy nostalgia.
All in one scent.

I’ve been rolling on Peace Balm for a few weeks—and not just because I love the name (though it’s nice too). The brand’s founder, Judy Hughes, told me the line was inspired by Tiger Balm, but with a scent that’s softer, more beautiful. I’ve been using the lavender, and it’s giving warming-cooling action that’s soothed my stiff shoulder in the most satisfying way.
But there’s not just one scent—Peace Balm also comes in Cedar Mist, Eucalyptus, and a Fresh Rain scent to suit your mood shift, and what you need—calm, clarity, brightness, release. These little rollers enable a healing and meditative, East-meets-West ritual that’s won me over. I’ll be keeping a supply close at hand.
