This summer the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) is celebrating our 75th birthday and is holding its International Convention at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, June 30 to July 7.

Jamie & Joy Macpherson (aka "Side By Side") with Gordon Lightfoot. Jamie & Joy recently celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary and have 9 grandchildren at last count. They are truly the most youthful Grandparents I have ever met and are my very best friends. Jamie was my 5-string Banjo (bluegrass) Instructor and later became my Tenor (jazz-4 string) Banjo Instructor.

Congratulations to George Shields and all the volunteers from East York Barbershoppers for making this International Convention "by invitation only" event a success! Thanks to all those who boarded our complimentary transportation buses from the Royal York and renewed old friendships from 1963. A very special thanks to Tim Hortons for supplying the worlds best coffee, donuts, pastries and a friendly host and hostess team to make our event a success!
