Pregnancy has a way of revealing what no amount of planning ever could. 💕
It asks you to slow down.
To listen.
To trust.
To meet yourself in places you’ve never had to visit before.
For so long we’ve been taught that the answer is to do more. More books. More appointments. More tracking. More perfection.
But pregnancy isn’t asking you to become perfect.
It’s inviting you into relationship.
Relationship with your body.
Relationship with your baby.
Relationship with your intuition.
Relationship with God.
Relationship with the generations of women who came before you.
You can be deeply informed and still feel afraid.
You can prepare beautifully and still be humbled.
You can be incredibly strong and still need support.
None of that means you’re failing.
It means you’re becoming a mother. ❤️
The transformation of pregnancy isn’t measured by how well you perform. It’s measured by how deeply you learn to trust, surrender, and grow through the process.
This is why I don’t simply teach birth.
I help women understand the physiology of birth, the wisdom of the newborn, the postpartum journey, and how to build confidence in the incredible body God designed.
Because birth isn’t just about bringing a baby into the world.
It’s about bringing a mother into the world, too. 🌿
If you’re looking for birth education, postpartum guidance, or someone to walk alongside you with evidence, experience, and deep respect for physiological birth, I’d be honoured to support your journey.

❤️There is something so sacred about finding a woman who feels like home.
Not just someone to laugh with, but someone who celebrates your victories, holds you through your hardest seasons, reminds you who you are when you’ve forgotten, and isn’t afraid to tell you the truth—with love. 🌿
In a world that often teaches women to compare, compete, or keep their guard up, I’ve learned that genuine sisterhood is one of God’s greatest gifts. ✨
The women who walk beside us become part of our story. Through business, healing, faith, heartbreak, adventure, pregnancy, motherhood, and every season in between, they witness the versions of us that few people ever get to see. 🤍
Friendships like this aren’t built overnight. They’re built through trust, honesty, vulnerability, showing up, and choosing each other over and over again.
I’m endlessly grateful for a friendship that feels more like family. A sister by choice. 🫶
As someone who walks alongside women through pregnancy and birth, this has reminded me of something so important: women were never meant to do life alone.
Whether we’re preparing for birth, raising babies, building businesses, or simply navigating life, we all need women who make us feel seen, safe, and deeply supported.
Here’s to the friendships that become family. 🤍

Some moments stay with you forever. ❤️
A beautiful baby boy, born gently into the loving arms of his mother.
One of my favourite parts of this photo is watching their sweet girl quietly resting her head on the birth pool, as if she knew something extraordinary was unfolding. Animals have an incredible way of sensing birth, offering a calm presence that reminds us how instinctive this journey truly is. 🐾
It’s so rare to capture a photograph like this.
When you look closely, you don’t just see a baby being born. You see every person the mother intentionally invited into her sacred birth space. Each woman is completely present, attentive, and moving with quiet purpose. No one is trying to be the centre of attention.
Every action is rooted in respect, integrity, and love for both mother and baby.
Birth is more than a physical event. It is the arrival of a new soul into the world. To witness that moment with reverence is one of life’s greatest privileges.
Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy. May God continue to bless and protect your family as you begin this new chapter together. 🤍✨

The first 24 hours aren’t just another day…
They’re the beginning of a lifetime.
Our culture often rushes this sacred window. Visitors arrive. Photos are taken. Plans are made. But your baby isn’t asking for any of that.
They are asking for you. 🤍
These first hours are filled with incredible physiological transitions.
🌿 Their lungs take their first breaths.
🤍 Their heart and circulation adapt to life outside the womb.
🦠 Their microbiome begins to develop.
🥛 Colostrum delivers antibodies and immune protection.
🌡️ Your chest regulates their temperature better than any warmer.
🫶 Skin-to-skin helps regulate breathing, blood sugar, heart rate, and nervous system function.
One of the most overlooked transitions is the umbilical cord.
🌱 Keeping the cord intact until it has finished transferring blood…and for many families, waiting at least 2 hours or until after the placenta is born allows your baby to continue receiving placental blood rich in iron, immune cells, stem cells, and oxygenated blood while they make the transition to breathing independently. This natural process supports a gentle physiological transition into life outside the womb.
💛 Every cuddle, every smell, every heartbeat tells your baby,
“You’re safe.”
Your newborn doesn’t need stimulation.
They need regulation.
They don’t need a schedule.
They need connection.
They don’t need to be passed from person to person.
They need to learn the sound of your heartbeat, the smell of your skin, and the comfort of your arms.
Birth isn’t the finish line.
It’s the beginning of one of the most important biological relationships your baby will ever have.
Protect this time.
Slow down.
Turn off the noise.
Your baby will never have another first day of life. ✨🤍
👇 What do you think every new parent should know about the first 24 hours?

🧠✨ Your baby’s immune system doesn’t begin at birth.
It begins long before they ever take their first breath. 🤍
Throughout pregnancy, your baby is developing an immune system using the nutrients, minerals, proteins, and healthy fats available through the placenta. 🌿🥚🥩🥑🐟
Every meal, every nutrient, every building block helps support the development of the tiny immune cells that will one day help protect them. ✨
But the story doesn’t stop there.
🤰➡️👶 Birth is one of the first major immune events in a baby’s life.
As a baby travels through the birth canal, they are exposed to beneficial bacteria from their mother’s vaginal and re**al microbiome. These microbes begin colonizing the baby’s skin, mouth, and digestive tract, helping establish the foundation of their developing microbiome and immune system. 🌱
This is one reason why the first few years of life are so important.
Babies born by cesarean section often experience a different pattern of microbial colonization because they are not exposed to the same bacteria during birth. This doesn’t mean one baby is healthy and another isn’t—it simply means their microbial journey begins differently. 🤍
And that’s where nutrition becomes even more important.
🥩 Protein.
🥚 Choline.
🐟 Omega-3s.
☀️ Vitamin D.
🥬 Minerals.
🦠 A healthy gut microbiome.
All of these help support the development of a resilient immune system.
The immune system isn’t built in a day.
It’s built over months and years through nourishment, connection, environment, and physiology working exactly as they were designed to. ✨

🤍 While you sleep, someone cares for both of you.
When people ask what an Overnight Postpartum Doula does, they often imagine baby care.
And yes, there are diaper changes, feeding support, soothing a newborn, and helping parents get much-needed rest.
But the heart of this work goes much deeper.
Postpartum is a profound transition for the entire family.
A woman is becoming a mother.
A couple is becoming parents.
An older sibling is learning their new role.
A family is finding its rhythm.
Often my role is simply to be a calm, grounded presence in the home.
To hold space.
To answer questions at 2 a.m.
To reassure a mother who wonders if she’s doing enough.
To sit with a father who wants to support his family but isn’t always sure how.
To play with an older sibling who suddenly has to share their parents.
To bring a sense of steadiness when everything feels new.
Babies don’t just need care.
Families need care.
And sometimes the most valuable thing I offer isn’t what I do.
It’s how I show up.
Calm.
Present.
Regulated.
Experienced.
A gentle anchor during one of life’s greatest transformations. 🤍

🤍 One of the most fascinating questions in newborn physiology is this:
Why are healthy babies naturally born with lower Vitamin K levels than older children and adults?
For decades, the conversation around Vitamin K has focused on the intervention. But perhaps the more important place to begin is understanding the physiology first. 🌿
✨ What does Vitamin K actually do?
✨ What are clotting factors?
✨ How does a newborn receive Vitamin K naturally?
✨ What role do colostrum, breastfeeding, and the developing microbiome play?
✨ Why does a condition estimated to affect approximately 1 in 11,000 babies lead to a recommendation offered to virtually every newborn?
These are not simple questions.
They deserve thoughtful discussion, careful research, and informed decision-making. 📚
This post is not about fear.
It is not about telling parents what choice to make.
It is about understanding the remarkable physiology of the newborn, exploring what we know, acknowledging what we don’t know, and encouraging families to ask meaningful questions. 🌱
Because informed consent begins with understanding. 🤲
As a Traditional Birth Educator, I believe parents deserve access to balanced information, respectful conversations, and the opportunity to make decisions that align with their family’s values and circumstances.

📖 Biblical Nutrition Era for Pregnancy 🤰🏽
Long before prenatal marketing, protein powders, and ultra-processed “health foods,” women nourished themselves with real food.
Many of the foods featured here are mentioned throughout Scripture and have sustained families for generations:
🌿 Figs
🌿 Pomegranates
🌿 Honey
🌿 Olives & Olive Oil
🌿 Fish
🌿 Lamb
🌿 Dairy
🌿 Goat Products
🌿 Sourdough Bread
🌿 Dates
🌿 Salt
Pregnancy is one of the most nutritionally demanding seasons of a woman’s life.
Your body is building:
✨ A placenta
✨ Amniotic fluid
✨ Hormones
✨ Maternal blood volume
✨ A baby’s brain
✨ A baby’s bones
✨ A baby’s organs
✨ An entire human being
That requires more than calories.
It requires nutrients.
One of the biggest concerns I see in pregnancy is women unintentionally under-eating protein.
Foods like lamb, fish, dairy, eggs, shellfish, and other animal foods provide many of the nutrients needed for a healthy pregnancy, including:
🤎 Protein
🤎 Iron
🤎 Zinc
🤎 Choline
🤎 Vitamin B12
🤎 Calcium
🤎 Iodine
🤎 DHA & Omega 3s
These nutrients support your baby’s growth, your placenta, your hormones, and your postpartum recovery.
And before anyone asks…
🍷 No wine in pregnancy.
For pregnancy, I’d swap the wine for mineral-rich water, quality protein, healthy fats, and nourishing whole foods.
Sometimes the most powerful nutrition advice isn’t found in the latest trend.
Sometimes it’s found in the foods that have nourished mothers for generations.
What food on this list do you eat most often? 👇

Pregnancy is one of the few experiences in life where another human being exists entirely within your care, yet modern culture often teaches women to become spectators rather than participants in the journey. 🌿
There is a difference between gathering information and surrendering your authority.
Information can be helpful.
Education can be valuable.
Technology can offer insight.
But none of those things were ever meant to replace your relationship with yourself.
A woman who understands her body, learns the principles of physiology, asks thoughtful questions, and develops trust in her own observations carries something powerful into birth: confidence. ✨
Not because she knows everything.
But because she understands that wisdom does not only exist outside of her.
It exists within her too. 🤍
The goal is not blind trust.
The goal is not blind obedience.
The goal is informed choice, critical thinking, and a deep connection to the body that has been growing and nurturing life from the very beginning. 🌸
What is one thing pregnancy taught you about yourself? 👇
