Shine Your Light

At a conference, a group of experts will usually come in and spend a day telling you how to live your life. Our goal in the design process was to ensure we help you tune into the person that matters the most; yourself! We feel that given the high rates of stress, depression/anxiety and other mental health issues that our busy lifestyles contribute to, it was essential to design a wellness retreat. We're going to spark some ideas to get you thinking but promise not to bore you to pieces with lists of do's and don'ts. We have some very inspiring people attending (panelists as well as participants) and over the course of the day you will have an opportunity to hear stories of endurance, persistence, heart-break and hope. These stories will hopefully spark new ideas and motivate and inspire you to thrive in your own journey. Where did the idea for the theme come from? Look at children, there is just an effervescent light that radiates from their spirits. We were all like that once too but somewhere along the way some of that light is dimmed. So many ladies that were that once a powerhouse of energy and joy have transitioned into “auto-pilot” mode, going through the motions; focused on getting through the day or week. We know this beautiful light radiates inside each one of us and the goal of this retreat is to give ourselves an opportunity to nurture this flame. As we shine brilliantly we create a world of possibilities for ourselves and those around us. Ok, what's included? We will kick off with an exciting ice-breaker that helps you get to know those around you and then transition into a few words of wisdom which will lead into some quiet reflective moments. Following some light refreshments, we will launch right into a beautiful morning of being surrounded by flowers and stems as we style our own floral pieces (yours to keep!)

This is followed by a gourmet, three course (halal!) lunch. The lunches are pretty spectacular and if you are a foodie, this will be the big show-stopper for you. The afternoon is designed to be more social/convivial. We will start off with a fantastic panel of some of our favourite ladies from across the region. The short panel discussion will be followed by free-flowing group conversations sparked by some thought-provoking questions. In order to end the day on a cheerful and aromatic note, we will invite our an amazing essential oils expert to deliver a workshop on the beauty and benefits of pure oils, leading into the design of our very own signature scents to take home.
