Some days in clinic hold the full arc of fertility care.
Today I supported two embryo transfers, and one person arrived wearing this sweater she had made:
"Mama in the making"
It warmed my heart and made me smile.
I was also with someone who is 14 weeks after a long road, someone who is 38 weeks and getting ready to welcome their baby, and someone who is now postpartum after a very difficult path to hold her little one in her arms.
So many different places along the way.
So much courage in each one.
It’s a privilege to walk alongside people through treatment, pregnancy after infertility, and the tender transition into postpartum.
Holding hope for you, and cheering you on, every step of the way 🤍

Harris is in China!
Here’s a few words from him to accompany the photos he’s shared:
-
We just finished the Nanjing Classical Medicine Conference and it was incredible! The learning was rich with wonderful lectures and lots of case studies. The New Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) University is massive and so modern. It’s the size of UBC at least and all TCM.
We enjoyed a good few days in Beijing and connected with one of our beloved teachers from 25yrs ago, Liu Fang.
I’m with a great group of peers from all over the world, really inspiring for sure. We’ve visited the Great Wall and Confucius temple, plus toured a few TCM hospitals in Nanjing as well.
Our clinic intensive is about to begin, I’ll send more photos soon!
Warm hellos to everyone at home!

Elements of Health is delighted to be a proud sponsor of the Healing Hearts Run again this year.
It is both tender and an honour to offer our support and to walk alongside our patients who have experienced painful challenges in growing their families.
Stephanie and Chris struggled personally with infertility as well, which makes being the Co-Chair of the Pacific Perinatal Foundation (PPF) something Stephanie cares deeply about.
PPF provides compassionate, integrated support for individuals and families who experience reproductive trauma—such as early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, infertility, and other difficult pregnancy-related events.
PPF services include financial assistance for counselling, peer-led gatherings, mindfulness-based group programs, and public awareness initiatives to help reduce isolation and promote healing.
The Healing Hearts Run (HHR) brings together families, care providers, and allies to honour loss, raise awareness, and foster connection.
Join our EOH team on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at Royal Roads University (Victoria) from 11am-1pm.
Choose between a 2km or 5km run/walk to connect together in the community and help raise critical funding that assists bereaved individuals and families throughout their journey of healing.

Are you experiencing low back pain that just won’t go away on its own? If so, you are not alone. Did you know that low back pain is common and affects 60-80% of people at some point during their lifetime?
There is strong evidence to support physiotherapy for the management of low back pain. A combination of exercises and manual therapy can help to manage or improve the symptoms associated with acute, subacute, and chronic low back pain.
I recommend starting your day with a quick and easy morning mobility routine to get your spine moving.
Wig wags: Lie on your back with knees bent and gently rock your knees side to side within pain free limits. Repeat 10-30 times.
Pelvic tilts: Lie on your back with knees bent and gently rock your pelvis forward and back by flattening your back towards the bed and then arching it away from the bed. Repeat 10-30 times.
Knees to chest: Lie on your back and then hug your knees towards your chest. Hold for 30 seconds. Repeat 1-3 times.
