Life's First Emergency Crash landing into Calgary from Lloydminster to Calgary.

Landing gear issue required a 5 Alarm reception and we were appointed to the Emergency Exit station by our Flight Attendant.

We were in brace position after a full airport fly by to make sure things were prepared for us.

Prayers were said, tears were cried and with only one tire on front wheels of landing gear, we landed in our brace positions with the melodious voice of our incredible flight Attendant Candace reminding us to stay down and brace over and over for what seemed 10 minutes until we had safely come to a stop with a procession of First responders following us the entire time.

WOW.

LIFE.

SCARY.

yet we are here for another go around.

💐 Happy Mothers Day 💐

This day is almost like a birthday for me....weird I know, buy truly as or more important to me.

I became a Mom on May 9th, 1989 at barely 19 years old. I didn't even know who I was yet, and I was all of a sudden responsible for a human infant that relied solely on me for everything he needed to survive.

Though my motherhood came sudden, early and unexpectedly....I would later realize that this would be my greatest gift, strength, challenge and learning experience.

My life is important because of my children, my life means something because of my children, I learn about life every day because I am a Mom, I get to be a part of 4 incredible humans lives because I get to be their Mom.

After carrying these babies, raising, teaching, holding, loving, listening to, and watching them grow ... I am privileged to now see these incredibly independent, intelligent, hard working, compassionate and creative adults carve their mark into this world and make it a better place for future generations.

My life is not defined by motherhood, but it is the single most important position and responsibility I have or ever will take on in this lifetime.

To me Mothers Day is a day to reflect, grow, appreciate and accept all that I have tried to be, wanted to be, and ultimately have become as a mother since I became one 33 years ago.

Thankful doesn't even come close to describing how I feel about my family and the joy they bring to my life.

Year after year I watch them grow more and more into the loving, intelligent, unique grown up versions of themselves....and I wonder what I ever did to deserve to live this experience as their Momma.

My world isn't perfect and life isn't always easy...but the love of my family is like a lighthouse that illuminates my path helping me to see what's most important..... ❤

Like a spark that lights a flame.

Like a flash that illuminates the dark.

Another year of my life is about to end, and a new to begin.

It is in the changes that I must trust, the metamorphosis of my life.

It is a new reflection looking back at me every day, but yet who I really am remains the same.

Life is lived in moments, flashes of time in space sharing ourselves while loving, learning, desiring, growing, allowing, resisting and being.

I'm not sure how I am feeling about my upcoming birthday, but I do know it has me feeling very vulnerable and unsure....yet more confident and passionate then ever before.
