It breaks my heart to write this, but a few short months ago we sold our little black and red house at 48 Laurel Street. When I say we, I mean my lovely mother, Lynn, who has been working away upstairs in her amazing boutique studio Shear Heaven for the past 30 years. So, when the opportunity arose for her to finally slow things down and start thinking about herself, I was all for it. But of course, it's a little bittersweet.

With that being said, this Wednesday will be the last day that Spearhead as you know it will be open until we find the right spot to re-open our doors. For the time being, we’ll all be moving downtown Kitchener to launch , and we're beyond excited to do so. Over the next couple of days, we'll be calling everyone with any schedule changes and updates to make this transition as easy as possible.

Spearhead has been my life for the past 3 years. And I'd like to say a huge thank you to all current and past employees for everything you’ve done. Spearhead simply would not be what it is today without all of you. And while we may be closing our doors for now, this is in no way a goodbye. Spearhead will live on as an umbrella company, as we look to launching new projects, creating new products, and curating new experiences with the same quality and service you've come to expect from us. We're excited to share with you what's still to come. We'll see you all very soon. We are beyond excited to announce that Spearhead is opening its second location at the historic Walper Hotel in Downtown Kitchener. Although remaining under the Spearhead umbrella, this location will be branded separately from the original shop, as the rich history and cultural roots of the Walper property play an integral role in the brand narrative of our new space. It’s important to me to share the story behind what we’re creating; not just a barbershop, but an homage to the hotel’s founder Abel Walper and his legacy that lives on to this day. Ladies and gents, allow us to introduce Abel’s On Queen. @ The Walper Hotel
