This isn't a "for sale"or "new product" post or an advertisement of any kind, but I thought it would be fun to post my new hair care regimen here so maybe some of you can try it with me.

I haven't used shampoo in almost 2 weeks!

Since I am a hippy, I had to try the idea, and now that I have figured out the perfect concentrations of my "shampoo" and "conditioner" I am super pleased with the results.

I wash my hair with baking soda and I condition it with apple cider vinegar! I dilute them with a lot of water and basically pour them onto my scalp and massage in, then rinse out.

I have 3 plastic cups that have sealing lids. One has baking soda, one has apple cider vinegar, and the other is empty. I scoop out 2 tablespoons of baking soda into the empty cup, fill it with shower water, put the lid on and shake it up, and pour it over my scalp and massage in. Then I rinse it out and do the same with the apple cider vinegar.

I only use about a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, but it is suggested to use 2 tbsp (same as baking soda), but I found it was too much for my hair and it made it look greasy. You may need more or less of the baking soda as well, it really depends on the makeup of your hair/scalp.

My hair is less frizzy and softer, and it should stay clean longer now that I have found the perfect concentrations. Shampoo ends up stripping your scalp of its natural oils, making it so you prettymuch have to use styling products to replenish the oils you just washed out. I don't have to use any styling products, even when I use a straightener. If it gets a bit dry, I will probably just use a bit of coconut oil. I will update here and there with how my hair is reacting to the lack of shampoo and products.
