A beautiful lash lift starts long before the solutions are applied—it starts with choosing the right shield.

The perfect shield isn’t based on preference.

It’s selected based on your client’s eye shape, natural lash direction, lash length, density, and even how the lift will grow out over the next several weeks.

A hard truth I’ve learned — both as an educator and as a student:

The training itself is only one part of the transformation.
What happens after is what changes everything.

A year ago, I flew to Australia to further my education in brows with two incredible artists.

At that point, I was already highly experienced in brows… so I assumed learning a new technique would feel natural.

It didn’t.

And if I’m being completely transparent, the hardest part wasn’t even the training itself — it was coming home.

I went straight into 3 weeks of holidays after training, and by the time I got back into the treatment room, so many of those tiny details didn’t feel as fresh.

Not the major steps.
The subtle things.

The hand placement.
The pressure.
The tiny adjustments.
The little tips that seem insignificant in the moment… but are actually what create beautiful results.

I had to go back, rewatch training videos, revisit my notes, and intentionally rebuild that muscle memory.

That experience taught me something I now tell every student:

The time after your training is just as important — if not more important — than the training itself.

And this is why I can often tell, even during training, who will truly excel.

It’s usually not the most naturally “talented” artist.

It’s the one who takes action fast.
The one who books models immediately.
The one who protects time to practice.
The one who understands that repetition builds confidence.

This isn’t about guilt.

I know life is busy.
I know schedules are chaotic.
I know many of you are balancing work, kids, family, and everything in between.

But if you’ve invested time, money, and energy into education… give yourself the best chance to actually implement it.

Because confidence doesn’t come from watching.
It comes from doing.

And perfection isn’t the goal.

Consistency is.
