Thank You for My Well-being
If today you awoke healthy, full of energy, and free of burdens, you are more fortunate than many others.
If you have never known the pain of war, the darkness of prison, or the gnawing hunger, you are better off than over 500 million people.
If your needs for food, clothing, and shelter are met, you are richer than five billion fellow humans.
If you have savings set aside, you belong to the 10% wealthiest people on Earth.
If you carry a loving smile on your face and gratitude in your heart, you are a rare exception—because while many could, most do not.
If you can read these lines of mine then you are multiply blessed—life has given you time and capacity, someone thought of you and gave you this gift, and you are better off than two billion people who cannot read.
Take a breath and feel that: “Thank you for my well-being—yes, truly, I am blessed!”
