Native to southern Mexico, this fruit and its tree have a thousand and one virtues. The fruit is rich in papain, vitamins A, B1, B2 and C. Well ripe, papaya is a tasty fruit, and used when it is still green, it can be served as a vegetable. Its leaves are eaten like spinach and the seeds, when dried, have an aroma like pepper. A wonder of nature!

Originaire du Sud du Mexique, ce fruit et son arbre possèdent mille et une vertus. Le fruit est riche en papaïne, en vitamines A, B1, B2 et C. Consommé mûr, la papaye est un fruit savoureux et utilisé lorsqu’il est encore vert, il peut être servi en légume. Ses feuilles sont consommées comme des épinards et les graines, séchées, possèdent un arôme similaire au poivre. Une merveille de la nature !

Black Willow bark 🌳
Present in the United States and Europe, the use of black willow dates back several hundred years. Whether it is its roots, used to dye fabrics red, or its infused bark to treat rheumatism, fevers and other pains, this tree has gone through human history through its multiple properties. And it was in 1828 that researchers isolated its active ingredient: salicin, a glucoside of salicylic acid. In cosmetic use, willow extract is a natural source of salicin, very interesting for its purifying, soothing, exfoliating, smoothing and regenerating properties. Et c’est en 1828 que des chercheurs isolent son principe actif : la salicine, un glucoside d’acide salicylique. Used in Asia for millennia, it has a high concentration of L-theanine (amino acid reducing mental and physical stress by producing a relaxing effect). There are hundred different varieties of tea, including the famous gyokuro from Japan and long jing from China. Green tea has multiple properties : its tannin which gives it that very particular bitter taste, vitamin C and, above all, a catechin much more powerful than a simple antioxidant, epigallocatechin. An ally of choice in both food and cosmetics.
